Played with rentals years ago, but never had the money to get into the sport. I bought a Spyder Imagine a year ago, but I never used it and I just bought a DMC the other day. Since I'm just starting, would it be better to start with the Spyder? Figure I'd pick up bad habbits with the DMC like pray and spray.

You might want to stick with spyders like the Pilot ACS.

Hope you have a good hopper and a Nitrogen/Compressed Air tank for your DMC. You can use them on your Imagine. But I don't know if the tank is supposed to LP or HP.

I say use both. Get a feel for both, and adjust. Don't just leave a 'slow' gun for a 'fast' gun. They both should be equally used, in my opinion.

Why on Earth would be buy a DMC and then not use it? Bad habits are developed in the mind, not in your gun.

All I have to say is use HPA and a good hopper. Co2 will wreck your solenoid, and having a bad hopper will severely limit your gun's capabilities.

And for the love of god, learn how to maintain it.

Truer words were never spoken. Unless those words were "Ebon is teh secks" in which case those words are possibly truer, but still, pretty true words.

Never have i seen ppl say imagine over a high-end. Get a nice HPA tank and a nice loader and use the DMC. Learn to take care of it and just play once you learn about it you'll be fine.

Now my wrestling coach always has said, "you don't get better by winning matches, you do by losing" paintball this can be applied. Before you jump off with that dmc start with your imagine, make mistakes learn, get better and then in like 6-18 monthes when you stop begin to have the feel for the game that a seasoned player has (ie not a noob) switch back the difference will be fantastic, than if you had started out with the dmc. Also noobs should be seen and not hear (no offense, I have no problem talking politely to a new player) but a new player with a very expensive gun turns heads, and more often than not you will not get an image that you want. For some ungodly reason, people hate noobs with nice guns, its just how things are.

Stickfigure... umm, what?

all i got out of that was a quote you most likely *******ized. something like "winning doesnt make you better, loosing does." which is true, we learn from mistakes, not from doing things right.

how ever. my advice to you Skribble, is to play with which ever marker you feel the most comfortable with. take care of both of them as they are an investment, no matter what anyone says about monetary value. sometimes value isnt measured with money.

your there to play the game, not to look like you know what your doing. dont worry about the other players opinions about you, just go out and pull that trigger.

a great quote i heard awhile back is "never give up luck for skill." doesnt matter how good you are at playing the game, if a ball is gonna tag ya, it will and vice versa.

if you have the tank and the hopper use the DMC. I wouldn't have recommended you got a dye for your first choice in marker by how expensive they are and how unreliable they tend to be if you don't know how to work the gun, but too late. If you have n2 tank and atleast a decent hopper (even a revie) use the DMC. You are probably going to be made fun of for putting a lower quality hopper and tank on such a gun but atleast you can practice with high end right off the bat. Theres no better way to learn paintball then with a high end gun. You will learn to walk the trigger and learn the quality of the high end gun. I would learn off the Dye by using it as your main marker right away.

I don't see what playing with an Imagine will do except send you to the deadbox (and prevent you form learning while waiting) more often instead of having a blast out there with your expensive piece. Use the DMC!

If you had yet to buy the DMC, I would probably say wait a bit and use the Imagine for a while, but since you bought it, get out there and use it! It just doesn't make sense to use the lower-end gun if you have two guns. If I had a DMC and my current gun, I would definatly be using the DMC. You might be hated for having a good gun and being a newbie, but just play and have fun, you will probably end up shooting the people mocking you sometime.
