Well, you already have a Custom Pro-E, so stick with it. There's really no comparison here as the Custom Pro is a better gun than the older 98c.

Custom Pro E because it's stock e-grip, better stock barrel (i do recomend a flatline), faster than the 98c, comes with a drop for those big tanks and for balance. Plus its cheaper than buy a 98c then buy an E-grip for it (i think correct me if im wrong).

i prefer custom pro but not egrip so i say 98 custom only because its mechanical :)

This poll really is pointless. The Custom Pro is better then the 98 custom weather it has an e-grip or not.

That's true, longer barrel for better accuracy, drop, and in this case egrip. I'd go for the custom pro.

depends on what you want. go pro-e for speedball or as heavy gunner in woods. otherwise keep mechanical so you have a reliable backup.

the custom pro is just the new version of the 98 custom............thats like asking if a 2007 truck is nicer than a 1990 truck........its upgraded..........they improved it(usually)

A good marker is a good marker. The application of its use is an artificial construct. In real world military groups, the primary reasons for dividing squad resposibilities and weapons is for weapons with radically different capabilities or specialized skills sets required to operate and maintain them.

There is only one basic goal in paintball, fire paint at person as quickly as possible to make thier participation as short as possible. Basic squad movement skills and teamwork is all that is required to be successful in the woods or on the speedball course.

A team of people with halos, high to mid level EPs, and hpa are going to do well in the woods or the speedball court.

There is no preference in this case. The Custom Pro E is a better marker in any circumstance then the 98 custom. There just is no comparison between the two. I'm not saying that there is no such thing as personal preference. It would be different if he was comparing an e-grip to an R/T, but he's not.
It like one time I saw someone post a poll asking which hopper was better the Halo TSA and Halo B, of course the Halo B is better so whats the point of asking. There is just no comparison between the Custom Pro E and a 98 Custom, end of story.

the way i see it, mechs for the woods, electros for the airball field. i, and i know im only talking about myself, but i tend to do much better in the woods with a mech. im not worrying about my marker switching off by accident, getting wet, or accidentally hitting the millimeter trigger pull and giving away my position. give crap players the best gear and it doesnt mean anything. ive played against ions in the woods with my phantom running a stock class feed and a 6" barrel, and got one shot kills all the time. its not just the marker, its the player and his preferance for a mechanical or electro. i personally chose mechanical for woods because i like to get more kills with less shots. but as i said before, it all depends.

I agree. in the woods I prefer all mechanical and dont really like laying with people who have electros. I like being able to move around and be a bit more daring. is someone is spraying 15bps at me im not gonna make a 10m sprint from one tree/bunker to the next. with mech its chancy but possible so people do more. when I am shooting at someone and he is able to run closer while under fire to get a better shot at me i love it! if we all have electros we shoot at each other at max range until one guy makes a kill... no fun. and it happens every tiem I play with a guy who has electro. hell sit behind a tree and just light up anyone he sees and just fire untill he hits the guy (ok not everyone buy about 60/40 do it). maybe fun in speedball but in woodsball it just plain sucks. in the woods I think anything over 8bps is just overkill and destroys the fun. when I invite people to my field with egrips ill play with them but if they kep it at 15bps and just spray for hits I dont invite them back. theres a line between winning and having fun.

besides if everyones mech I can pull out a pump marker and be able to play. I have no problem with others having an advantage over me but shooting that fast is just a waste of a good game.. keep it for speedball :P

some people will do whatever it takes to win where I will rather loose badly but have a blast. I dont mind getting my butt kicked but when its kicked by electros who dont put any effort into a kill other then fast bps its just a waste of a game IMO

speedball is a whoooole different story however but I wont go there.
