i have been trying for 2 years to fix that annoying doublefeed problem that plagues Raptors. Recently on the internet i found a sitethat told me how to fix it once and for all and here it is. by the way, i owe all credit for these fixes to whichever site i foundthem on, i in no way had any part in coming up with them, jus for disclaimer purposes. thank you. i have not done these mods myself, but i will let you know how they come out once i do.

Quick Double Feeding Fix
This is a quick easy fix to most of the double feeding problems.
Tools needed: knife, pen
Materials needed: rectangular pink eraser (about 1/4 an inch wide) Procedure:
1. Unscrew the bolt plug from the back of the gun.
2. Take the bumper off the bolt plug.
3. Trace the bumper onto the pink eraser using the pen.
4. Cut the pink eraser along where you traced the bumper.
5. Then put cut a dimple into the pink eraser where the bolt plug will touch it (where the hole would be on the bumper).
6. Put the bumper back on the bolt plug.
7. Put the pink eraser into the back of the gun and screw the bolt plug back in. (should go like this: eraser, bumper, bolt plug)
8. Now make sure the gun cocks back entirely. If it doesn't, you'll need to trim the eraser down a little to make it cock.
This mod will keep balls from double feeding because of the excessive bolt travel. When stock, the bolt travels too far backwards, allowing another ball to drop into the breech. With the eraser mod, the bolt does not travel all the way back, only allowing enough room for one ball to feed.

METHOD 2

CLINICAL SURGICAL PRACTICE:
Remove the Bolt Plug from the gun: Ref Item #13.
Clean Face of Bolt-Plug Bumper: Ref Item #12.
Wrap Business Card around Bolt-Plug and Bumper forming
a damm 3/8" over the top
of the Bumper, and tape in place. Squirt, squeeze, or
smear anticipated amount
of Silicon Rubber onto Face of Bolt-Plug-Bumper,
filling newly formed damm. Cure
time may vary, but expect at least 2 days. Choose
color of preference for the
Silicon Rubber. After curing is complete, remove damm,
and measure the
Bolt-Plug-Bumper PLUS new Silicon Extension. The ideal
Total-Combined thickness
of the Bumper PLUS the Molded Silicon Extension should
be approx 9/16" - 5/8";
trim or apply more as necessary.

ALTERNATIVE PRACTICE:
Go down to D'hardware store and buy some Rubber
Grommets. Glue them / Stuff them
in place until you figure it's about right.

REASON FOR CLINICAL SURGERY vs FIELD SURGERY /
ALTERNATIVE SURGERY:
Field Method: Later removal of all that crap behind
the bolt is a *****.
Alternative Method: AKA Quick &Dirty. Looks Cheapass.
***** to clean.
Clinical Method: More professional, lasts longer,
easily removes with Bolt-Plug.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
The Spring-Wire Ball Detent is an important element.
It is always possible to
have a mis-adjusted Ball Detent that will lead to
improper ball feeding. But
this particular problem has different symptoms and
origins.

I have been using the clinical method for quite some time, and believe me when I say it, not only does it look professional, it is VERY effective. Also, while you are reading this thread, I suggest you get a lighter bolt to help keep the connection pin intact for longer :agree:

I have never had the double feeding problem with my blue raptop but, it uses the plastic style anti double feed thingy.
Also tell me what u think of my review of the gun here

well, i said i would let everyone know how my clinical procedure went with repairing the raptor silver eagle. i completed the mod and it works just fine now
it worked fine before except for the ball chopping and what not due to loading too damn many balls. but now i have not been having any real problems with it. it is jus my loaner gun anyhow. my real gun is a spyder SE. :) i bought the raptor for dirt off of a friend of mine that thought it was broken, but it aint. but i really dont see what is really wrong with the raptor silver eagle, for i have not had many of these problems some of you speak of in your reviews.
