Shortening Spring

I need to shorten my spring behind the velocity adjuster because im getting in the 300 fps. How many coils do I cut off?

P.S. I did turn the velocity down and it still shot in the 300's

Don't you have another spring? One spring is for warm weather, the other for cold.

I think you should cut 2 coils and try it at the highest velocity, then change it to lowest and try it again. See if you like the two velocities, if not, cut another 2. If you're gettin close to the velocity you want, then start cutting one instead.
