Hey everyone, I have a question. I was thinking on getting a motorized hopper. I was going to get a 12 volt VL revolution hopper and then saw another identical one that was like $10.00 more because it had an "X-board". I was wondering if someone could clear that up of what it is? It's it better than the one without one, worth the money? help would be appriciated. Thansk

Well the x-baord is this. When View Loader first came out with the 12volt hopper, if you had a clear shelled hopper, the sunlight would trigger the sensors and start the paddles rotating when the were not suppose to. Then Brass Eagle Bought out VL and to fix this they put a delay system in that got rid of the sunlight problems, but in turn caused the system to delay before starting the paddles so there were significant gaps in the loaders feeding system. These gaps caused a lot of fast firing markers to chop paint because when the paddles of the hopper should have started spinning, the delay kicked in and that hesitation cause the ball to fall at the wrong time and then...chop...chop...! The x-board gets rid of the delay and also keeps sunlight from having any effect on the rotation of the paddles in clear hoppers.

How can you tell if your revvy has an X-board, please don't say look on the box, does the X-Board look different than the old curcuit boards?

turn on your hopper with no paint in it, then the paddels should turn right? then stick your finger up the feed tube and it will stop right? next wiggle your finger back and forth and if the paddles start to turn you probably have an x board, if the paddels just stay there then you probably dont have an x board.

If you really want to know, you can take your hopper apart and where the battery clips are it should say x-board on there.

Just make life easy and don't get a clear hopper. I don't know why somebody would want one anyway.

So you can see how much paint you have left w/o flipping open your hopper!

Your opponents can see it too.

Good call on the year and nine month old thread.

X-Board makes the feeding a little bit more consistent.
