I have a weird problem with my LP kit for my Tippmann. It has a plastic piece that covers the cocking slot. There are two things that are used for the screws to go into. They are supposed to be flush against the internals so it doesn't interfere with the bolt. However mine do. They catch against the bolt, preventing it from moving, thereby rendering the gun useless. I currently have black electrical tape covering the slot to keep gunk out.

Has anyone had this problem before?

I have an LP kit and havent had the problem. Just use tape, it works fine.

or, instead of useing tape you might want to make sure those are nie and tight. If they still catch on the bolt then you could (try at your own expense) and grind some recesses inside for the screws/bolts to sit in. If you've got even a file you could do it, just remove a tiny amount of metal so that the bolts can sit flush.

Actually, it might be too tight. That could've bent them causing the problem.

Solution? Throw the cocking slot away, it's just more trouble than it's worth. E-mail Eric from psycho ballistics and see if you could buy a rocket cock cover and screws. Just cover and screws, not the entire thing.

That's only if you really want a slot cover, though.

Anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking of buying one and want to know if this happens kind of frequently.

I couldn't get the little things to work. I'm actually using the body part of my rocket cock, since I can't use it with the new bolt. If you don't have a spare rocket cok laying around, electrica tap does just fine. =)
