There is no aftermarket regs for the mini. you don't need one. they are perfect. awesome consistincy and no maintince.

+\- 5fps at its worst on a well broken in, well lubed and well tuned mini. Better than that for the most part.

when do you think new ones are coming out?

I dunno. But what I really dont know is if there is a need for one. My friend was using a tank on his shocker that caused massive shoot down after 7bps. It worked fine on my mini. The reg seems just fine

After 3 cases of paint, I'm getting +/- 2 to 3

For 400 bucks and up the stock reg on any marker better be able to hold its own.

We, as players, should demand this from manufacturers, and not get caught up in the sometimes foolish game of "OK I have my marker, now what can I replace on it to make is sweeeeet." At a certain price point we need to demand sweetness out of the box.

Thats probably why I am not really an Ion fan.
edit:
I guess it would be like buying a mustang that couldn't hit 75 MPH without a new fuel injection system. That just shouldn't happen.

That is sweetness.
Are you using a HP or LP tank?

Generally, any reccomendations on the best input pressure to the HP reg?(I have an adjustabe tank reg and was thinking about 450)

Well, considering there isn't really a reg for the Mini....

You have to use what they give you.

450 would be perfect. As long as your tank has a high flow rate it won't get any drop off. I have a LP and it works awesome. It is better to use LP because it is putting less strain on the reg meaning it will have a longer, higher quality performance.

Don't need a new reg (not that you could get one anyway), the stock one works perfect on mine

Yes.

What consistency are you guys with HP tanks getting?

the same as you get with a lp of the same brand. The only time youll have trouble with a lp is if it is a crappy one.

I get +/- 3 fpm with a PMI HP tank. That is of course after I broke in the marker.

I know this isnt my thread, but will a 72/3000 aluminum PMI Pure energy tank work on the Mini? I've been considering getting a Mini.

it will work

You'll just find that your markers balance will shift markedly to the rear due to the 72/3000 being quite a large, heavy air system.

Oh yeah I know about the weight thing. Im getting a remote and an NXe 4+1 before I get my next marker.

A remote and with a Mini? Might want to stick to a Tippmann..... Has anyone ever seen a tourny marker with a remote?

ironicly and sadly enough, yes, today actually.
He wouldnt play with any of us though, he was with a rental group.
Im assuming he is "the guy" that rented 1 time, tells all his co workers or whoever he playes all the time, then goes and buys a bunch of stuff he thinks all the cool people use, gets all his friends to rent and goes full auto all over them.

Or well, its the picture I got from him anyways.

i lol'ed at that cuz that does happen. And btw, that wasnt ironic at all. that was coincidence. i dont like how every one thinks that everything is ironic. That was far from the meanining of ironic

I have used my mini with a remote several times.

I have also been playing with tippys with remotes and no stocks for years(still use my upped a-5) so I am comftorable with using an unsupported marker.

I found the mini feels pretty decent, but that you really need to grip the marker firmly or the barel tip wavers up and down when firing at a decent rate of fire.

I know me and Lopez and Evil and a several others have talked the whole remote issue to death in the past. I suppose it comes down to personal prefferance.
Since I am so used to using an unsupported marker, having the bottle mounted on the ASA actually feels a little odd to me.
I use a remote on a redz 2+1 belt and leg mounted holster type mount and I have never had tangle or any other issues.
If I am playing woodsball in camos I have been known to just stuff the bottle in my cargo pocket.
