How often does your raptor break connecting pins?
Mine does about once every 200 balls. So i'm gonna fix that. I got a peice of solid stainless steel I'm gonna cut and modify so I can us it as a connecting pin in my raptor then maybe I can sell the gun. I'm hoping it will work well since it is a rod of solid stainless and is the same size as the pin.

What I did to stop my raptor from breaking connecting pins was: First, I bought a lighter bolt from paintballsnipersupplies.com, Second, I bought a lower tension main spring. Third, I lowered the dwell time to lower the amount of gas used to recock the gun, fourth, I made an enlengthened bolt plug bumper to stop it from going all the way back and double feeding.

the connecting pin is really irritating huh?
if you want a better one, get the stainless stell connecting pin, much stronger, and lasts longer. I know they sell some at www.dropzonepaintball.com it's like $5 a pc. though

I fixed it. I modded the striker & hacksawed the peice of stainless for a connecting pin. It's working good now that I fixed the trigger and the pin. It is a realy nice gun now. If only it doesn't break any thing else.

Brass eagle only cheaped out on one part too many on the raptor, and it was the connection pin. I do a few repairs on cheap guns for friends, a couple have raptors. I've never seen a raptor break any parts besides the connection pin, and I've only seen one rounded sear. The rounded sear was easy to replace, and I had an excuse to do a trigger job too :)

Well the trigger broke on this one. And the valve broke too I think that was my fault on the valve though. I just used some "future glue" on the trigger and fixed it I had to glue a part so it wouldn't move. What happened was you could pull the trigger and it wouldn't trip the sear just nothing happened. But, I fixed that. I swear if this thing breaks this connecting pin then I will be realy suprised cus this ain't no dinkey aluminum it is solid stainless and quite tough. I'm pretty sure the bolt will break before this thing breaks.
