I'm just wondering what you guys think about stocks. How they help? How they don't?

It's personal preference.

It's personal preference.

Couldn't agree with you more. I personally don't like using stocks. While they do steady your aim they can sometimes get in the way during close combat situations, but thats just me.

Stocks aren't worth it(they look silly, and most people will define you as a n00b). It's paintball not war.

Nexxus, stocks aren't noobish. If I knew any better, you've been shot out by a few people with stocks. :-D

They do steady your aim, but it's uncomfortable when it pushes up on your mask. So if you have elevated sights, you'd have a good set-up.

Now, I don't use a stock because it's just not me. I use the tank on my pecs/shoulders, and it works just fine for me. So, I'd try that before you drop the dime on a $30+ investment.

A stock is just extra wieght, and something more for someone to shoot at. However it is just personal preferance, but if u want a good, cheapier stock, just use ur tank... if ur one of the people who uses C02 I believe they have that little attach on stock to the back of ur tank to make it feel like one.

In woodsball or scenario, I guess its OK, it adds to scenario-nes and such.
Though in speedball... no one has one, they add too much weight, they get in the way and people won't like you.

I'm afraid so for the common speedballer:rolleyes:

I think they are pointless unless you have a virtical bottle setup (like Phantoms), or if you have a 24 hour senario, and you want to use a remote to take off weight. Personally, I use my tank.

I think stocks are for people that have crappy aim. If you can shoot accuratly I think it is a waste of money.

stocks can be decorative, helpfull and dont always have to get in the way. and the gas doesnt always have to go on the bottom behind the marker.

useing a stock really is a personal preference. you either like it or you dont. and if your in the middle, you get a folding stock.

It's a matter of personal preference. I think they're probably not a smart move for smaller ballers as it won't help them balance the marker well over long periods of time. If you're into scenario play or long woodsball games, gas through stalks with remotes aren't all that bad of a call. It's really going to vary based on individual playing style.

*falls down stunned*

So that explains why pistols are so much more accurate than rifles. Eureka! :dodgy:
