I've kicked the living crap out of my stingray, and put it through the same torture tests one would put a tippmann pro/carbine or model 98 through, and it works perfectly. Plus replacement parts are cheap and it's easy to do custom work on yourself.

Its been my experience that while the Raptor and Avenger are metal, the Stingray is still the better gun. They are the perfect gun to let a friend use for the first time. The Raptors and Avengers have issues with the connecting pin breaking in both guns. The Stingray is really likea composite Model 98, it can run on liquid and noone really cares if you screw it up:)

I agree with pimp. The Raptors and Avengers have problems with the connection pins breaking. However, I do use a Raptor as my primary, but with extensive modification meant to improve it's reliability. I purchased a light, delrin plastic bolt, did a low pressure conversion to stop the bolt from slamming back so hard, and so on and so forth. My Raptor is a very decent and fun gun to use. However I am assuming that you are talking about stock. Stock, the Stingray II beats most guns under one hundred twenty dollars. I dont really care what you say, that is true. The Brass Eagle Raptor, being avaliable for 90 dollars nowadays, is a piece of crap considering what it's like stock. I only shoot it because I like the trigger and cannot make a stingray's trigger like that.
