I thought up a way to keep your money spending to a minimum.

1. Buy some Airsoft guns.
2. Whenever you can't afford to go paintballing play with your airsoft guns.

Reason: Airsoft is a very inexpensive sport, but it isn't as fun as paintball though. Guns range from $20-$1000 and the pellets are only a couple of bucks for 1000 rounds.

Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

I love paintball, the only thing that bugs me, and scares other people away from the sport are prices, paint in particular. A 2000 round case where I live costs around $55-60, and thats the cheaper stuff. If you do the math that comes out to be about 2-3 cents a ball. I've seen some cases sell for as much as $80!! You could buy a decent low end marker for that much. I think the companies that make paint should find some way to lower thier prices, w/ out messing up the quality of the paint. 2-3 cents for a little gelatin ball filled w/ a water based solution is a little expensive when things start to add up. Paint prices need to be lowered.

Villhime98c, the reason the price is so high is because the machines used to create the balls cost a million or so.

IronAsid, you don't need a feild. Just get a whole bunch of friends to come over and play in the woods. You can actually play in your house because Airsoft pellets don't break windows. Though be careful because they break lightbulbs

I would play airsoft as well... The reason I don't isn't because there are no fields around here (I play outlaw anyway) but it is because everyone I play with don't have airsoft guns and there isn't any place around here that sells airsoft equipment so I would have to order all of my stuff over the internet and things like that and my dad's doesn't usually let me order anything with his credit card over the internet...

I think airsoft sounds really cool and I think it could be good for training for paintball(like for teams to practice since its so cheap) but for just playing don't you think people might be dis-honest? i mean they don't break so wouldn't it turn out to be one of those"I got you.... no you didn't" type things?

Airsoft are air guns that look like real guns and shoot faster then paintballs so they shoot farther. It is alot more realistic and since they don't mark the target they are alot cheaper to buy. Try going to a search engine and looking it up.

About people cheating. Airsoft would be easy to cheat but I think alot of people that play it can trust each other not to and if they can't be trusted to admit they have been hit then I would find someone else to play with.

First of all, is there a website or something? And cheating is why you cant do it as a tourney. It sounds like a game you play with a group of friends, where it doesn't really matter if you win or lose.

Since they do look like real guns you have to be even MORE careful showing it around, obviously. Find out if your paintball field also supports airsoft. I know a local field here that has paintball and airsoft games. Not sure how often though.

Don't forget your paintball mask :D

dude..that's crazy...that kid must be blind in one eye (how's he gonna get pus*y with his face messed up like that) poor guy. as for airsoft stuff i have a question, if u wore a paintball mask to play what are the chances of the pellets shattering/going though/ etc.. the glass on the goggles?

also there are tiny paintball airsoft pellets that a dirt cheap to buy. u can use those since normal one kill.

I'd probably compare the chances of a pellet going through the goggles as the same chances of a bug going through your windshield driving on the highway.

Airsoft is really popular in the Asian countries since no one can sell guns to the public. Most airsoft guns are manufactured there too. Yeah, I've done some researched on airsoft since my friends aren't willing to get into paintball because of the price.
