I currently own an Ion and am thinking about upping it.
I'm thinkin about buying a Lucky Stage 5 or 5.1, qev, and virtue board.
How does it compare to a stock Mini? How about an Ion with just a virtue board vs. the Mini?
I don't care about plastic vs. metal, or "aesthetically better" or whatever, just strictly performance and reliability.

First this belongs in the high-end electro forum. Second stay away from lucky and virtue. Lucky has gone down the drain pretty much and virtue isn't a respectable company and they're over priced. But anyway the way you're think about putting on an ion won't make it compete w/ the mini. You'll need much more then a board, qev, and body. So i say get the mini but also look into the rail, fusion, and timmys at firstcallpaintball.com

Why though? You'll most likely end up paying more for upping the ion then getting one of the guns. You only upp an ion if you want a gun that is to your personal likes. Other then that really it’s a waste of money.

Plus when you go to sell it you'll get jack for an Ion, so get a Rail or Mini. I would personally take the Mini because it felt like it was built better (no plastic, or "composite" as some of you like to call it) and I liked the size, but you have too shoot both really.
