I understand that Mini's won't work as well with a HP tank as opposed to a LP tank. I have a few questions with that though.

1) What would happen if I needed to run a Mini with a HP output tank? (at least for a while) Would it be very inconsistant, break, break paint, what?

2) It is probably going to be a little biased here, but if I only have a HP output tank, should I get a PMR instead of the Mini?

3) Where could I get a LP output valve for a Pure Energy 3000psi, carbon fiber tank? (If I could get one) Edit: Will this (http://www.firstcallpaintball.com/pages-productinfo/category-709_1466_1885/product-2442/paintball-tanks-nitro-tank-accessories-pure-energy-pure-energy-pmi-low-pressure-reactor.html) bring my tanks pressure output pressure down?

4) What are the chopping problems I have been hearing about caused by? Is it under warrenty or part of the break-in period?

I will leave the technical questions to those who own Minis, but the item you linked to is an LP output conversion kit for the PMI tanks and can easily be installed by the user if you have one of the newer, strippable Pure Energy air systems (make sure the tank is empty before you take it apart of course).

Umm, the mini is fine to use with a hp tank. I cant find it anymore but even though the manual calls for a lp tank, I read somewhere that simon stephens actually recommends you use a hp tank so you dont get any tank caused shootdown. You will have no problems with a hp tank and there is no difference using either tank besides you might get shootdown if you use a lp tank.

The chopping people are talking about is either because the mini needs broken in or tuned. There were also a few minis that came with a poppit that needs reworked, and it was causing blowback. It allows air to blow out the bolt too long, even while the bolt is beggenning to move back.

I just picked up my Red Mini #000567. It seems to work great with high pressure 68/4500 psi tank. In fact, I did the tissue paper test and there was no blow back. Instead the paper was sucked into the gun. I wouldn't worry. The reg can take care of itself and like 4x4le said, Simon does mention LP may cause shoot down.

I believe you asked if you should buy a different gun because of your concern. If that is so, that is a poor choice. The tank is the least expensive part of the two and why rob yourself of a great gun due to a tank?

I like the mini and would suggest it to anyone. Great marker.

Would the tank that came in this (http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=VCbgXW3fUrbhzivsx7Yg9WcL64mZVG0BuzQ=?Pro ductID=XmfAqArbxrMAAAEFOQo4f%2enU) combo be one of the newer strippable tanks?

I was having a little bit of trouble choosing between the Mini and the PMR, and if I needed to spend another $200 to run a Mini, I would have prboably chosen the Rail. Now that I learned what I have though, I will definitaly chose the Mini.

Thanks for the help everyone.
