This is a very nice upgraded power tube. It comes with a bolt that is custom fitted to the tube.

You can got that at County Sports for $29.99.

You wont notice any difference in your accuracy. But you will notice a easier and smoother operating gun.
I just got one to use with my Super fly bolt. Because of the internal O-ring, when used with the stock power tube it causes the operation of the gun to be "sticky" and "rough". But when used with a metal power tube it's noticeably smoother when you manually cock the gun.
I have yet to shoot my gun with the new power tube in. This should be one of your last up grades, unless you busted your stock tube.

Honestly, any aftermarket power tube will perform just as well as your stock one. The only purpose the power tube serves is the house the valve and help direct blowback, there is no real way to improve on the design. You should only need to replace the power tube if it cracks.

The power tube does NOTHING for your gun. In fact I have seen many customers bring in their markers after installing aluminum power tubes. They cause more problems then they are worth. The only benefit of installing one on a Tippmann is that the FVA won’t back out (front velocity adjuster). Of course you can always prevent this on a stock/plastic unit by adding some loc-tite. It’s actually CHEAPTER then a power tube replacement and it is guaranteed not to screw anything up.
There have been many many scientific tests which show that replacing the front bolt and/or power tube doesn’t do anything to help performance on the 98 and A5 (or if it does its so negligible, its not anywhere near worth the cost).
I say stick with the stock unit and spend the money elsewhere. There are many other products which will actually help your performance.
BTW the only real difference you will notice by switching to an aluminum power tube (if it doesn’t screw anything up) is a slightly louder gun.
If someone tells you they got a noticable gain in performance with their A5/98 after installing one of these, dont listen to them. Its only their wallet talking, & for some reason the wallet becomes blind to reality after coughing up cash for a modification.

1. Keep the stock power tube.
2. Replace the Superfly with the stock bolt UNLESS it's the white version.

What's the different in the white one and the black one?

The white one was an improved version that performs right on par with the stock bolt. The older model actually was worse than the stock bolt according to A5OG.

The JCS Red Hot powertube is supposed to be a good addition. it makes your gun louder, but also allows for better consistency and can handle rapid fire because unlike the stock power tube which is made of plastic, this power tube is made of metal.

I would try a test of both bolts to see if you notice a difference. It can't hurt to check.

I will, I have the Dead on Paintball one, the stock one, and the Superfly. I'll test all of them. All of them have a different contact point (bolt to paintball). The reason I bought the Superfly is because of the internal O-ring. I can see the logic in having a extra O-ring inside to save gas and be more constant. I didn't buy it because I though it would be more accurate but if it's less...it's out of here!
I'll post what I find.(I have to buy some paint and air first)

Ooh, the DOP version is reportedly a tick better than the stock bolt. It will be interesting to see if your test coincides with A5OG's.

I had the DOP front bolt/power tube combo. I honestly didnt notice ANY difference what so ever. ( I bought it based on the same test you were talking about located on A5og.net)
