Yup, they are electropnumatic, have the PDS system (similar to eyes) and are cocker threaded. Also the feednecks are ICD/Bushmaster threaded.

Thats true, but from everywhere I have read about new feednecks, everyone recommends to stay away from impulse threaded feednecks because it isn't worth the risk of screwing up the threads.

You do have to be careful, but whether professionally installed or not professionally installed, it doesn't matter. No matter who installs it, this is the entire procedure for how to install a feedneck on a promaster:
1. unscrew stock feedneck
2. screw in new feedneck. blue loctite may be used if you wish.

The only difference is whether you pay someone to do it for you or not. Shops drool over the chance to install a feedneck or ASA for someone because it only takes a few seconds and requires no expertise.

Basically some Ion threaded feednecks work, some don't, and some that work do so better than others. It doesn't matter who installs them. Basically all I can say is don't overtighten it and use some blue loctite to make sure it stays put without needing to be really tight, and remove it as little as possible because screwing it in and out constantly will wear down the threads faster.

anyway it is electropneumatic, not blowback, it does have eyes (PDS is an eye system, ICD just gives it their own name, kinda like how SP calls their eye system "Vision"), it uses ICD feedneck threads and cocker barrel threads so your Kaner will work. If you want more info please look through the promaster FAQ stickied at the top, and feel free to ask if you have a question that isn't already covered in there.
