I set my gun to shoot at 270FPS while running it on HPA at the field. I hooked up my CO2 tank and was shooting some friends and I had them shoot me and it felt much worse than at the park. I am wondering if the CO2 has more power than shooting with HPA and will it require me adjusting the spring each time I switch between the gas systems
Thanks in advance

HPA is more stable. yes, we all know this, its been beaten to death. however, CO2 had its advantages back in the day. when most parts were made of heavier metals like steel and other iron compounds. liquid CO2 gives abit more "explosive" charge when it expands. as its going from liquid to gas rather quickly its abit more of a punch than from gas to disipated gas. certain markers actualy required liquid CO2 to opperate consistantly as the parts were usualy too heavy to move w/out it.
in essense, you probably got liquid CO2 in your marker and that made it shoot hotter than normal. normaly this isnt a problem but if you have an electro trigger, or an electro-pneumatic marker, you shouldnt be useing CO2 at all. the least w/out an anti-syphon tank.

Any time you change tanks, gas type, freshly filled tank, remove a tank and put it back on, change barrels, the day warms up while you're running CO2, etc you need to re-chrono. Your velocity will change. CO2 will tend to shoot hotter (more fps) at the same setting than HPA. CO2 has an operating pressure of 850psi and can spike to over 1200psi. Most HPA tank regulators are preset at either 800psi HP or 400psi LP. So yes, you need to rechrono after any change.
