Yes, on my bed... :|
Anyone who drops their tank on something like concrete from a good hight should not use that tank again. They should get it tested atleast, to make sure that it's okay.
It wouldn't explode I think, but the burst disk should release the pressure.
A glass fiber tank might break.

I haven't personally but I saw my friend do it, and nothing bad happened. just some scratches. Other than that, Not much harm came to his tank. Still worked perfectly. Nothing broken in the valve.

I did, but it was on the carpet in the house. I probably wouldn't be playing any more if my parents saw it.:(

one of my CO2 tanks fell out of my brothers trunk when he totaled his car... the Oring lip and the threads on the tank were mauled, but the tank held up surprisingly. unfortunatly it cost more to have the nipple replaced than to buy a new one so we just stowed it away for later scrap use.

I haven't dropped my tank but I did bash it pretty good. I was playing at my buddies course. So there are no air bunkers just like woods bunkers ( still works great). And I doove around one and my tank was sticking out and i hit it so hard I took the bunker out. But I managed to bunker my friend. Then I checked my tank and no scratches my tank cover saved it.

HPA, no.
CO2 yes, several times.
The only thing that happened is one time I didn't have a thread protector on and I dropped it on the concrete from about 18 feet up.( Over the edge of the stairs.)
it cost about 2.50 for a new pin valve, so no biggie.

Yes, i dropped my co2 tank from about waist high taking it off of my gun. the pin valve sometimes gets stuck now, and releases all kinds of valuable co2, but i might just fo buy another one.

I droppped a CO2 on my carpet once, no big deal, and HPA on my bed, sofa, and car seat with no problems.

I dropped my filled HPA composite tank today. No problem, since I played with it afterwards.

I was going up to the shop, riding up a half mile hill to get there to get my 12oz. tank filled, dropped it, it rolled about a fourth of the way down the hill, and it was fine.
