This is like comparing sticks and stones...
The Apex has great distance and decent to low accuracy.
The St!ffi is EXTREMELY light, and with a great paint to barrel bore match, it'll be more accurate.

so ur saying close range to mid range the apex isnt that great. am i right in this?

Ok, there are much better barrels for the price than the Apex. Its supposedly not that accurate to begin with, but can shoot farther distances than even the Flatline. Well if, for the price, there are more accurate barrels, why get the Apex? Well sure it can shoot farther, but if you're at such a distance where you NEED to be shooting farther in order to hit somebody, you need to move up. Plus if you did end up laying 30 shots on a person from 150 feet away, the odds of any of them breaking are very slim. If you're looking for versatility, get neither the Apex or Stiffi. Get a cheaper kit and be happy with it.

Well, not really. The accuracy (Depending on the level of spin, consistency of paint, wind, etc) of the Apex will vary.
At close (20ft-60ft) range, it should hold it's own. At that range, you really can just turn it off to get less spin on the ball.
At longer distances (100ft+), the spread will be wider. A lot of factors must be taken into account for 'accuracy'.
EDIT: Going on what Babustos posted, if you want a cheap kit that'll cost near about the Apex, the J&J Edge Elite kit is less than $100 at most places.

Yes the accuracy of the Apex will vary with those factors, but that goes along for other barrels too. I'd much rather have say a J&J Edge kit than an Apex, the Edge kit will be more versatile, for the most part more accurate, look better, whatever. I'm sure the accuracy of the Apex in closer range isn't bad at all, but the odds are a kit will be more accurate. So in the end, why pay money while sacrificing versatility and accuracy up to a point for unnecessary distance/unnecessary swirving?

Does this come down to the $15 dollar saving question, babustos...? :-D
I've always wondered, though, if an Apex would fit on the Edge...?

Get an Evil driver.

Oh really...? A kit would be a definite choice, honestly, if you're going by what was posted earlier in the thread...
Right now, the scores on the reviews on both the Driver and Edge kit are the same at 9.4/10. I'd still get the kit for different backs and fronts.
Read the thread before you try to / it, bro. :blah:

Out of those, I'd take the Edge. The Pipe kit is nice, but a lot of people say they have thin tips that are prone to denting. The Freak Jr. is the normal Freak but sold with only 1 insert, if you are sure you will be using a gun that has the same threads as yours now, then the Edge would be better. If you were planning to get a gun with different threads, get the Freak. The Freak uses inserts so all you need to do is change 1 back and you can use the whole kit for a different threaded gun. But in the case that you wanted a kit with inserts, theres other kits such as the Sceptor, Sanchez Machine, Lucky, and more.

Sorry. I've only used a Driver and a Dye Ultralite. If the Edge it is as good as the numbers say... I'd say forget the st!ffi and get the kit.

Refresh me: are Apex the barrels with the ability to select the path of your ball?

Yes.
It's a bit complicated if you ask me, honestly. I'd rather just use it for the longer distance. The hook and dive bomb shots I'd use for show.

It seems cheap to me. It proves that you have very little ability. If you want to hit the person behind bunker X, then figure out a strategy to do so; using a fancy piece of equipment makes you look like you don't know how to play.

Oh, I agree, but I want more distance on my shots. It's ridiculous when I arc shots, and they bounce or fall short at their feet.

yea dude stiffi is in a completly different league. Get stiffi its 100x better than apex. Apex is crap. as long as you have a good paint to barrel match then stiffi is the best barrel you can get

I bought a J&J edge elite kit on ebay with blue ano tips to match my promaster and I have to say for the price you cant beat the kit.. Screw the stiffi Its AWESOMEly light but no versatility.and if u do a slide it will snap rather easily

If you do break it, SITE Inc. will replace it free for life, I believe. So I wouldn't 'screw the stiffi' just yet there, bro.
