Can you please post what the best upgrades are for the 4.0?

a longer barrel, probably the JT 2-piece 12, 14 or 16 inch. This is only if you are sniping from long distances. the stock barrel is very accurate for close range, 20-30 yards.
Other than that I beleive the JT body will accept spyder parts like spyder trigger frames, barrels, firing pins, that sort of thing. Just be sure you test the item before you buy it to make sure it will fit.

you dont need any barrels over 14 inches... its just a waste of gas.. you can get new bolts.. they may be to long.. but thats alright... hmm you can get new frames but you have to get female to male adapters.. and a longer hose.. SS or macroline whatever.. yeah a new bottom line .. but you need new hose... you can get a new x-chamber if you have to.. but will never more adapters... and you can probably get a new reg

why would you need a 12v revvy with a blowback marker? ..i dont think you need that large of a revvy

The only upgrade I've made thus far is a Lapco Bigshot. It's only 12" long but don't let that fool you. It has great long range accuracy and its black which helps in the woods.

The 12v is a good investment for any future, faster markers you may have. I was wondering if anyone has tried a cp 1 piece on their 4.0?

Actually anything about 6-7 inches is a waste of gas... thats why my 8 in barrel is more accurate than my 14 and 16 barrels =)

lol.. in actuallity im saying that anything over 14" is unneeded
I ordered a CP 14" and should be getting it on the 5th. I'll let you know how it works out. I ordered the silver but now I kind of regret it, since I only play woods ball I should have ordered the black.

Q: What barrel threads does the JT Excellerator use?
A: It uses spyder barrels. But in my experience some spyder barrels don't work. Screw in the barrel before you buy it just to make sure. I've found that it isn't a per-barrel type problem, but it happens to each individual barrel. So one barrel might fit, while another barrel of the exact same type might not.
Q: What bolts do the JT Excellerators use?
A: Spyder bolts fit into the JT Excellerator. I haven't checked with the 3.0 but the 4.0s stock bolt is a far bit shorter then a spyder bolt, so it will be out the back far enough to hit your mask. All other measurements seem too be the same though.
Q: What Valve/Hammer does the JT Excellerator Use
A: The JT's have a larger bore lower tube then spyders, so spyder valves, and hammers will not fit. Spyder velocity adjusters are also too small. Hopefully JT and other companies will come out with some after market parts soon.
Q: What type of main spring does the JT Excellerator use?
A: Spyder springs.
Q: What type of valve spring does the JT Excellerator use?
A: The spring is in a funnel type shape. Its supposed to improve preformance of the valve, but as far as I know there aren't any after market ones.
Q: What type of grip frame does the JT Excellerator use?
A: Spyder grip frames, any including electro ones. If you need to replace your stainless steel line it will take some more work, please read note below.
Q: What type of x-chamber, vertical reg, or fore-grip can I use on my JT Excellerator?
A: The JT excellerators stock x-chamber makes it nearly impossible to get liquid co2 into the marker, but if you decide to upgrade this, it will take quite a bit. First off you need a spyder vertical (should screw right in) adapter like the one used to upgrade the spyder 2000. Then you can attach any x-chamber, reg. or fore-grip that has an ASA on the top of it. You'll also need to replace the stainless steel line, see note below on this.
Q: What kind of drop forward can I put on the JT Excellerator?
A: Any spyder type drop forward with the offset holes that attach it too the grip frame. Chances are your not going to get a dropforward that fits the stock reg. though, so you'll probably have to replace that as well. If you get a new drop forward chances are you'll need to replace the stainless steel line, see note below on this.
NOTE: The stock JT Excellerator 4.0 x-chamber has a male fitting on the bottom that the stainless steel line fits into. Normally the fittings for lines are female, and a different thread. I've taken my JT Excellerator 4.0 to many places, and no one could ID the threads. From my experience the only option is to replace the x-chamber if you need to replace the s/s line. This is the #1 design flaw of the JT Excellerator in my mind.
I also removed the 'key ring' that holds the quick strip pin in place and replaced it with a safety pin. This way its easy to take apart the marker, and puts the quick back into the quick strip. The other thing to do for the stock JT excellerator is to replace the barrel o-ring that comes with it. I just pushed a tank o-ring up in its place (took a bit of time and work). This holds the barrel in place better and prevents it from backing out during play.

I have a question, Do just some barrels don't fit or they don't fit on well? I bidded on a CP 14' Barrel on ebay, I haven't sent the money though yet, so will it probably work?
Frosty, I just received my CP 14" about an hour ago. Threads fit fine . I only had about 10 paintballs lying around,so i couldn't really try it out . The few I shot were team colors and diablo blaze. They seemed to shoot okay. Couldn't really check distance since my yard is small but they semed accurate. No breaks. I also got mine from e-bay,the company was alternative sports for less. Shipping was a little slow because they're in CA and i'm in NY. They don't have great feedback and i know why. I won the auction for a chrome one they shipped black. I decided to keep the black since i play woods ball and the chrome would have been to bright. Also who knows how long it would have taken them to exchange it.....Good Luck

kool thanks man. Im getting my barrel from the same company. Im getting chrome and if i play any woods ball im going to make a camo cloth to go around the barrel and all the other chrome parts.
No problem, I forgot to mention that I ordered the one that said for spyders. I'm sure you did the same though. I hope you get the the right color, I was a little pissed at first, cause I'm sure the chrome looks ******,but oh well.....Later...
