i'm using a tippmann a5 with a 14 inch smart parts progessive barrel. I just recently put on an expansion chamber also. I have noticed that my paint is dropping after a very short distance. I thought it was the tank (co2) so i switched to a full one with no fix. what could be the problem? I know paint matching with your barrel is important but i can't find paint that fits like it should (i've used ink'd and draxxus.) all the paint just falls out. any suggestions on improving the performance of my marker would be welcome.

Well, it isn't the paint. That's an almost 100% guarantee. It sounds like it could be your velocity (too low). Do you have/have access to a chronograph? If you don't, try backing out the velocity screw and see if that helps.

could the velocity being too high affect it also? I think i was chrono'd up past 300.

If you're running a remote, don't tighten the bottle screw all the way. That will pinch off the airflow. In any case, you need to get to a chronograph. 280 fps is pretty optimal, but 300 is acceptable. I've read reports that you can start breaking finger bones and the ribs of smaller people over 300 fps.

Dude...... try and remember the golden rule. Do unto others and all that?
Over 300 fps = No Friends

Well, not only is over 300 a no-no, but it can also cause paint to do some wild things. Turn it down.

I have a 16in progresive on my gun and the piant I use is PMI Premium and or Visible Impact from wall-mart. To check if your useing the right paint go here:http://www.ottersccustoms.com/images/paintc-pdf.pdf
Like everyone else was saying check your velocity it should be not under 275 not above 300
