The field owners where I play, said that PMI will start shipping a "new" type of RPS paintball sometime soon. These new paintballs are suppose to be the roundest "BAD-A$$" paintballs ever made using some kind of funky new shell that's super accurate. Has anyone heard of or shot these new RPS paintballs??? Where can I get/order them???

Theres been a new wave of paint technology, it seems that seams are disappearing and fills are thickening...

amargio said this would happen a while ago, i'm not sure if its right but he said they would be a lot of balls with the same technology as direct hit balls, i wonder if this new rps ball used the same methods as the direct hit balls

Hey Simon

I left out one important detail, the field owner also said that a new patented technology is used to make the new RPS paintballs, which means no one else duplicate it. It must be an awesome ball if RPS dropped the bucks to patent it. - Flanker

good point Flanker.
I hope they are really accurate with better fill so people don't wipe off the paint. If they cost significantly more then regular paintballs then i'll just stick with my marbs, they work great anyway. ("Don't fix something that isn't broke")

Well, I talked to my paintball man last night. They are out. I am picking up some cases this weekend. I ll let you know how they shoot. He said everyone loves them. We'll see.

Played this weekend and the field where I play is selling them already!!!. They're called RPS Advantage. Shot only a hoppers worth, (still have a case of Marbs to burn through). They ARE incredibly round looking!!! They matched a 0.684 Freak barrel sleeve. Shot out 2 players at a pretty good distance with them, had no gun breaks, no bounces. If it weren't for the balls being half blue, half orange the seams would be really tough to see. Accuracy was smokin' hot. The best part was the cost is the same as regular RPS balls. The other guys shooting Advantage had only good things to say about them (stuff like flatter trajectories, no gun breaks). From what I saw and what I've heard, my next case will be "Advantage". - Flanker

Well, I shot them this past weekend. I picked up a couple of cases. Unfortunaltly my cocker is sick and I shot them out of my spyder which sucks too. So i didnt get the full potential out of the ball. They seem to be a little more brittle, which is good, if anyone shot the old ones,, they are a bit stout. If you get shot and they dont break,,,it hurts like he*l. They have less oil in them too. Even the shell is a dull finish on it. The fill is very thick. Sticks to you, should lower wipe offs. They seem very round and have almost no seem. Shoot very straight. I recommend them!!!!

I got a case at palmers last nite put a few rounds thur my auto mag,I got the pmi advantage blue yellow ,yellow fill.there a flat looking shell, kinda feels like a powder coat.direct hit paint balls can't be used in a tournie cause it dont pass a bust a ball in a white rag and wask it out by hand test.I look for paint We can use in tournies that let you bring your own paint.Palmers selling it at 50 bucks a case, and theres a few others that sell on line about the same price. As far as I can tell they shoot Dam good.I was told this if you break a ball or chop one in your barrel the ball is going to do a hook big time.I don't know this yet.Sunday I'll be using it all day so I'll give you a better low down on it then.
