I have a 98 custom pro. I added an e-trigger to it and am having troubles getting it to fire the three burst or fully auto at the default settings speed. I can hear the solenoid firing the appropriate amount of times, but the gun is not firing fast enough, and is only getting out balls 2 at a time. I am using a cyclone feeder so loading isn't the issue. Any Ideas? Do I need to replace a spring?

What type of board did you buy?

yea, and check to make sure your battery is charged. if its not full charged, it might have trouble putting out full power. the the noid will click, but without enough power and the sear wont be tripped

I added a tippmann one that I bought at Gander Mountain. I just took it out and couldn't find a model # on it, but it has WAS written on the board.

new battery, and it seems to be hitting the sear plenty hard. The system just seems to not be getting back into the cocked position fast enough to make the next shot in the sequence.

Yes, you have a W.A.S. board then. Try the other suggestions then get back to us.

If a battery doesn't fix it you may have just gotten a bad solenoid. It happens.
Make sure your sear is not gunked up or stiff. Might need a basic lube.
Did you take the spring and plate off the back of trigger?

Hey, what colour does your egrip's LED flash while the gun is in use? If it's red and flashing, this indicates low batteries. it should flash green.
Mine was doing the exact same thing until I noticed the light was flashing red and changed my 9v...

You may have left the steel strap on the stock trigger. I don't know exactly what it is called but wehn I added the e-trigger to my 98 I was in a hurry and failed to remove the steel strap. It fired like you said. Just a thought.

yeah, the metal part on the trigger pictured needs to be removed on the 98.

Did you put in the new sear spring? The old one is to strong to be tripped.

It might just be a faulty board. Sometimes when I cock it (w/out air) and use the e-grip to uncock it sometimes it will and other times it wont. The solenoid is not trippin the sear all the time, I have replaced the battery....multiple times with multple batteries. The solenoid is gettin stuck, I have tried both magnets from 2 different solenoids and the problem persists. Send the board to Tippmann and they'll send you a replacement.

Thanks for the responses.
The light is blinking green as it should. Batteries are full and the solenoid seems to be working great. I had replaced all the things that you all said ( sear spring, that metal part and what not). The spring that I had been wondering the most about was the drive spring. If I put a stronger one in there would that increase the capable speed of the gun? I messed with the trigger last night and got the top speed that it will shoot at before the gun can't seem to keep up with the trigger is 14 bps. So unless there is something that I am just missing I will just have to settle for that. Again thank you for all your thoughts, and ideas.
