Well i don't think this thread will be like the other ones, but i guess we are about to find out.

I'm looking into the e-trigger for a custom pro, but I don't want to get a WAS board assembly then get a ape. So I wanted to basically get the assembly parted out. And i've found all the parts and it would come out cheaper than a WAS e-grip. But my question is, do you need the sear spring, sear, and magnet? Cause i've already got a modified spring, and the two (stock and e-sear) sears don't look any much different. (unless the armature has a little slot in the E-sear) And the magnet i'm guessing is to hold the solenoid down? And if I was able to run it that way, I could get an e-trigger w/ an APE board for less than 70 bucks.

The main differnance in the sear is the hole that the sear rests on the pin. The mechanical sear is oval or alongated and the e-grip on is circular. The sear spring is lighter than the stock one. Not as stiff. You can get by with one that will catch the sear but you may wear you bolt out quicker. Magnet is not nessacary with the WAS board but it helps to reset the selaniod quicker.
