View Full Version : Paradox leaking, not sure where from.

As the title says, my Paradox marker is leaking from somewhere, here's what I've tried :
Replaced co2 o-ring
Replaced every o-ring on the bolt and "the bit under it"
Switched from the dropped adaptor, to the one under the barrel (don't know terms, sorry.)
Tightened everything that can be tightened
What else is there I can do to try and remedy this problem?
I only got the marker yesterday, it was my first time ever using a paintball gun today, was kind of disappointing. :(

My dad has been having the same problem with our paradox as well, while working on it he thinks he may have found the problem, He tells me that the cause of our leak (and most likely yours as well) is the valve seperating the bolt (low pressure area) and the hose link into the marker (high pressure).
To get to this valve you have to remove the screw just infront of the handle and pull the the regulater (I to am unfamilier with the terminology of this marker) out from under the barrel. A small metal and plastic valve should slip right out, this valve should be the problem.
My father tells me that it is probably best just to buy a new valve and turn down the pressure if it happens to be somewhat high.
This is what my dad tells me, so if this comes out unclear or solves nothing then I would contact the company (Syndicate)

Where is it leaking from? Is it leaking from where you screw in the co2? Also try putting some lube on the orings... Another thing is it a big leak, or small and try to narrow down where the leak is by listening for where the leak comes out.

Okay so I suck at explaining things.
Here's a poorly photoshopped image to help.
Top : Marker as I recieved it, leaks.
Middle : Marker with drop forward removed, bottle vertical, this still leaks, but we've eliminated the hose as the problem
Bottom : Same as middle, but shows (very roughly) where the o-rings I've replaced are.
Scout667.9 : Can you make an image to show me where this valve is?
TheKid : Not sure where leak is coming from, it's big enough to stop the gun re-cocking after being fired, ball travels about ten feet.

r u sure its leaking or did u tighten the lpr (thing under the barrel) too much? Try keeping in the co2 and then slowly unscrew that lpr thing untill it recocks. I think because you tightened it to much it prevented the gun from getting the right psi for cocking back. That happened to my promaster but its a quick fix. Also if that doesn't work, put back the reg and the hose (with the hose be sure to put teflon tape on the fittings that screw into the gun, a layer at most, to prevent leaks) then with the reg where every u can unscrew it (not the threads, most likely the bottom with an allen wrench) try loosining that.
Reg= the handgrip to the right of the trigger frame
LPR= Thing under the barrel
And finally like I said before, give a light coating of lube to the orings.
