Anytime a max-flow is not acting right, it's time for a good clean and lube.
IF that does not fix it, then get an overhaul kit and replace o-rings.

i dont think your suposed to put a max flo over 200, not good for it. try turning it down to around 180.

Ya are we talking your out put pressure gauge or your tank? If it's your output pressure its your PRV doing it's job. Under 200 if it's set up for a shocker/imp. If you using it on something else (doubtful) then you'll need to post that.
Otherwise, time for clean and lube.

actually yah i had the same problem, however instead of replacing everything on it...i replaced IT with a vertical max flow...i think they are much easier and make a nice grip....you can get 1 for $150 from smartparts.com and yah...much better..... and yah..i have my operating pressure at about 154...and its beautiful
