Paintball Store Reviews

You know something I would like to see on here is a review category for online paintball stores. A category that would allow people to see what stores work with buyers and what problems buyers have with a particular store. I see many online stores i would like to consider buying from but I always wonder is this a decent store or will i have problems getting my stuff. So I think a review of stores would help buyers see which stores are better to use. Anybody else think this would be a good thing?

If I recall correctly this has been brought up several times before. I believe Andrew mentioned he considered this but felt too many false reviews would flood that section with owners and affiliates giving themselves good reviews and bashing their competitors.
I can't remember if this idea is still in the works but for the most part it's really in limbo. But off the top of my head, Action Village, Paintball Kingdom, and Compulsive Paintball are probably my three favorite places to shop for my stuff. All are very reputable at that too.

Ever since I opened pbreview.com back in August 2000 people have requested store review system.

The reason I havn't gone ahead and added the feature is that I am 100% sure that fraudulent reviews/evaluations would be a major problem, both written by users and written by actual store owners. Its already been a problem with field reviews and sometimes with product reviews for products made by smaller manufacturers.

There are certain things you can do to ensure only truthful reviews remain. Some of them are discussed at ResellerRatings.com (which is in my opinion the best retailer review website). Right now though, I just don't have the time to keep with another review system at pbreview.com. Especially one that would likely require double the amount of the time of other two put together.

And to quote ResellerRatings.com, "Anyone that lets a site such as ours "run itself" will eventually end up with a site full of worthless data that cannot be relied upon for any reason."


So, store reviews won't be added anytime in the near future. However, it is a feature I would like to add eventually.
