for 175 at www.shop4paintball.com, it's a great buy. all you really need is a rev. feeder and a new barrel. smartpart teardrop or 32 degree quite riot works.

well i shot one of these things and for the money its not a bad marker. but i didn't like the kick of the thing. Rec play it would do ok.
The trigger on this thing tap the side of it and it will fire. you can over shoot the hopper on this thing also. but you'll be all over the place doing it. The stock barrel is a throw away off the bat.
I use a smart parts AA on it and work much better. again I don't own this maker but I did try it out from out of the box at the store. As far as it having probs i wont know till someone brings it in for repairs etc.
its a blow back marker and you got to cock this thing also just like a spyder etc.

Well I've been using a Dragun since early December, no problems on my end. I swapped the stock barrel for a Dye Xcel ($50 average retail), but I still keep the stock barrel around for speedball, since the honing on the stock barrel isnt too bad, I think its even better then the honing on some aftermarket barrels. As far as kick, its not noticable, and my shot groupings are pretty tight, I would say its accuracy is pretty decent, but don't expect cocker like smoothness, it is still a spyder set up stacked blow back so expect a small amount of recoil. Air effeciency is decent, though I'd go with a Turbo Valve and an aftermarket X-Chamber, this gun is not able to outshoot a revy, but also send more co2 out the bolt then the reg can regulate, though mine hasn't ever froze, nor did I ever expect it to. Over all its a good gun, it don't look pretty, and yea the trigger and grips are plastic but they'll last, won't break unless you drop the thing hard on a rock (like slam it, I've run into a kid once, gun was ok). Its well worth the cost, and if you like CQB and run & gun style of combat this thing will definately be a good choice. If you should decide on it and want some ideas feel free to email me, I can help ya out with it. Same goes for any who are interested in the dragun and have questions. Oh and yea the stock reg it comes with is adjustable, and the stock bolt is somewhat reminicant of a cyclone just not spiraled.

I have shot the Black Dragun and had mixed feelings. As Creek said, there is a little bit of kick to it. I think if you want to continue to play rec ball, it would be an ok marker. But if you hope to play torny ball someday, you might want to spring for a high end semi like a Cocker or Automag, or a Electro like an Impulse or Shocker.

I came VERY cole to buying this gun. It had stong reviews, and an experienced player told me how it was such a great deal.

But you get what you pay for, even with this gun.

I got to see a guy pop it's cherry, and by lunch his gun wasn't working.

Numerious shop owners refuse to sell it because they are obliged to put it back together after it breaks.

I ended up buying the spyder e99 and am VERY happy with it. If you go to a store, the black dragun will run you $200-$210. The new e99 only runs for about $30 more, and is a kingman product. E99 looks nicer, and has adjustable rates of fire, including fully automatic.

But remember, both of these guns are just modified spyders. I think the e99 is much higher quality. But dont expect either one of these to be as good as modified cockers. But at least you can say you can out-shoot stock cockers. :-p

Ok... let set the record straight here. I use a Pi E-1 Black Dragun, the one made by Pi, not the M3 version. I've had this gun and abused it since late November of 2001, and holy cow this thing can take abuse. On my team (Team Unrefined... we're just recently formed with no sponsor) I have probobly one of the cheapest guns, specially when you put it along side of my buddy's guns (2k2 Cocker & B2k or Bushmaster for those who don't know) my gun in compairason is pretty low quality. However, on field I have never had any problems with jams, ball breaks in barrel, bolt chops, or any sort of awkward problem. Only time I chop is when I outshoot my hopper... solved that problem by using an Evlution since it can feed up to 13 bps, where as the E-1 dragun's max capability is 13 bps. So now.. no hopper chops. Like any spyder set up gun you loose alot of air during the blow back process since the gun recocks by using the air to blow the hammer back till it catches the sear, the air comes from the valve... which is the same valve which also sends air out of your bolt... an unavoidable problem with stacked bolt blow back guns. So... get a turbo valve, $20 at I&I Sports for a stainless steel spyder turbo valve. Trigger problems... let me address this. IT IS HARDER TO BREAK THE TRIGGER THEN IT LOOKS! Yea the trigger is ABS plastic and can break, and yes I've seen it break, but thats because some idiot pulled his trigger out to the side when he ran into someone while both idiots tried to charge out the same door. I've ran into people myself and my gun suffered no damage at all, maybe a scratch on the anodizing but thats it. In general, the dragun has no problems at all. Now my buddy with the cocker, his bolt sometimes jams, of course alot of stock cockers will do that too sometimes, my other buddy with the bushy jams also, why? I don't know. They know their guns and use good recomended paint. Cocker guy uses RPS, Bushy guy uses JT Maxim's. I use I&I Premium House Paint... yet, my dragun has not jammed nor had any awkward chops. Yea its kind of loud like most spyder set up guns, yea its not as accurate as my friends guns nor as cool and advanced (cockers and bushy's freaking rule!). But if anyone ever says that these guns have problems, I will tell them to their face that, that is BS. I have seen alot of draguns on field, all the Pi E-1 Draguns I've seen have had no problems, I've never seen a guy with an E-1 fixing his gun cause of problems (except for that guy who broke his trigger when he ran into someone), I've never seen an E-1 Dragun going to the gun tech for problems on field, nor have I walked into a shop that refuses to sell an E-1 or E-2 dragun. To be honest, every shop I've walked into, every shop worker who encounters a customer who wants a Shutter, TL, Compact, or even Flash sometimes (Flash is a good gun don't get me wrong I like it), every shop I have seen has refered the customer to an E-1 Dragun or an E-2 Dragun (The Pi ones). And recently the M3 Dragun Compact (which is a dragun without the gas-thru foregrip and bottom line, just a vertical ASA). Now why is that? Go to a shop yourself and check it out. Thats my two cents, facts only, spoken from a person who has used and abused this gun like madness.

sure I think that you should get it, but I heard that he trigger frame is made of plastic and breaks easly.

No, the trigger FRAME is not made of plastic, but the TRIGGER is. As for breaking "easy" if you take a sledge hammer to it I guess it will breaker easier than an aluminum trigger. but will it easily break from normal playing?? NO, it will not, i've played over 100 games with mine and my trigger is still in once piece.

From what I've seen it looks very nice. There's nothing moving on the outside of the gun when you fire it because of a special cocking mechanism. The trigger can be set so that it fires the gun with just a tap, and it feels fine even though it's plastic. (The frame is metal.) It's also vertical feed.

I have an E-2. It's my first marker, and I had to take the first one back because it was defective. Desite this, I think the Black Dragun line of markers are a good deal. I have used this marker
multiple times with very few problem. It's fast and cheap. After letting a few toruney player use it, they wanted to get one as a back up marker.....no lie, and their using LCD Angels. Just keep in mind.....you will get what you pay for, so don't expect $1000 quality out of a $200 marker.

I just bought my Black Dragun m3 model the other day, I traded my 2001 cocker with alotta stuph on it for the Dragun plus other parts. I really like this gun. I love the trigger and the overall feel of the gun. You won't regret it when you buy this gun.

ok think for a minute pal, how good is an electro gonna be for under 200 bucks? i've seen and shot them, their not really that good. the only thing they have going for them is their cheap electros(very appealing to newbies), and they have a very nice very light trigger pull.otherwise, not that good. spend a little extra money on something on a spyder amg or a spyder EM1 or somethin like that. Or you could buy my shocker turbo with a bunch of stuff for dirt cheap, and i mean DIRT CHEAP, for details email shocker622@yahoo.com cya later
