So, I finally got my Mini the other day, a black one and it works great, but I do have a few niggles with the Mini. First off, I have a USB scale that's intended for weighing small boxes, e.g. a postage scale and should be pretty accurate. It weighed my CP Air 48/45 that CP says is 1.99 pounds at 2 pounds, 0.0 ounces, so I figure my scale is pretty accurate as 0.01 pounds is well under the 0.1 ounce accuracy of my scale. According to my scale, the Mini with its stock barrel and a 9V battery in the grip weighs 2 pounds 1.something ounces, so it's a decent hunk over 2 pounds. Not a big deal, it's still way lighter than almost anything out there, but still not 2 pounds like they've said over and over again. A minor niggle but worth mentioning.

The next thing I noticed after putting my Pulse on my Mini is that the Mini's stock feedneck is a bit tall and the Pulse doesn't go all the way down to the bottom of the neck. This wouldn't bother me except that the Mini's stock neck has that slit across the bottom back side of the neck and this area is exposed so if I get shot in the feedneck, paint is definitely going into the breach. I hate to complain as the stock feedneck on the Mini is vastly better than most stock feednecks, but I feel the need to "upgrade" the stock feedneck. I know it is Ion/ICD threads, but which neck should I choose and has anyone replaced their stock feedneck yet? Is it hard to remove the stock part? Any recommendations of a good feedneck that is still lever locking?

Other than the above and the lack of an on/off, I'm really happy with the Mini. IMHO, I don't think there's really anything on the market that compares to it and it's well worth the low price.

not hard to remove the stock feedneck, just get a vicegrip and twist off, a really good replacement is the Smart Parts Q-Lock Low Rise Feedneck. It is my favorite feedneck on the market today, id throw it on there wit a bit of locktitie and ud b good to go

Pass on the function feedneck. I had one on my mini and had to torque it down to the point it was twisting the clamp just to get a snug fit on an unsanded halo.

The only thing I don't like about the Smart parts unit is that SP decided not to anodize the clamping lever. I'd prefer an all black part if I'm going to spend the money to upgrade. I already swapped the silver trigger on my black Mini with my brother's black trigger that came with his silver Mini.

Unless I hear different from my posts, I think I've narrowed it down to either the cheap, no-name eBay special for $17 shipped or the XSV which has gotten good reviews here for $36.
