Should I get it?
Second how many shoots do you think I would get out of it with a cocker?
Will it be more shots then my 20 ounce CO2?

Come on anyone with input?
I want to order it before it goes out of stock again.
Is there anybody out there?

great tank, nice, light small, but it only gets you 680 shots per tank fill

What about if you get LP on a cocker?

Flatline works best at pressure ranges between 700 and 1200 psi. If you want to run it LP, and still do really well, you should get an inline

Do you think it will be worth it to get this tank because I heard it only gets about 700 shots?
If I get a LP system in my gun how many do you think I could squeeze out of that tank?

Just as much as any other 68/3K, and it's a really good one if you combine it with an inline reg and tinker around with it.

Thanks for the info but I am still a little fuzzy on the subject.
Do I have to remove the tank from my gun to get it filled?
Or can I leave it on?
I don't fill my own tanks so I get my tank filled at my local shop and I don't want to look like a Dumb@ss walking into the store with my nitro tank still on my gun and telling them to fill 'er up.
Second will the dropforward fit on my stock cocker frame or do I have to get an adapter of some sort?
Thanks for all your help

you just had them the whole package, air tank, gun and all, no proble, should fit fine on a cocker

Exactly. I dont even take off my screw in when I get my tank filled if I'm still playing during the day

Is there any way to unscrew the tank from the drop forward so I can get it filled w/o having to bring the whole damn gun with me?
TheMuRph1018
04-24-2001, 04:22 PM
Anyone?
Can the tank unscrew from the flatline reg?
elTwitcho
04-24-2001, 04:44 PM
I dont think so. If you want to take the tank off, I believe you'll need to remove the screws holding it to the drop forward. it is doable, but nowhere near as convenient as a screw in. That's the price you pay for better performance I suppose

My friend recommended a new tank to me, the AA raptor 68ci 4500psi tank. Is it any good?

Any comments on any of these tanks?

It's actually really heavy, though it is supposed to be one of the better tanks. It's one of the older HPA tanks available, and the maintenance is a bit more involved than the newer models. Nonetheless, I beleive there is a new aluminum reg version, which should take away alot of the weight

I don't think I am going to get the raptor. I should of ordered the flatline tank a while ago because now they are out of stock at 888 paintball($269). Also does anyone know of a reputable online store that sells it for less?
With the money I save not buying the raptor, I can get an AA vigilante reg and go LP to compensate for the small tank size and the 3000 pressure rating.
Does that sound like a good idea?

Damn! The price of this tank has raised alot. Its now at $320. I don't know if its worth it anymore. Are there any better tanks at that price?

You can get a dang Max Flow for like $10-15 more... I think that would definitely work well on a low pressure Cocker.

I have around $360 right now and I found a few more tanks. Which one do you think is the best?
Air America Armagedon 68ci 4.5k Is this worth the extra money?
AA raptor 68ci 4.5k
The Pure Energy 88ci 4.5k with add on secondary reg (said to be used by team aftershock. Is this true? And if it is why don't they use better tanks? Or is this a good tank?)
And still the AGD flatline 68ci 3k

The PE is a good tank, and that's why aftershock uses em (plus they're sponsored, though if they werent good, they would use them). With any adjustable you've gotta double reg anyway, so I'd plan on having the money available. My favorite on that list is the geddon though, I like AA

Is the Armageddon as good/better than the Max Flow? Idunno, I guess I just always kind of figured the Max Flow was the best out there, althouugh I really don't know much about nitro tanks.

elTwitcho, I'm sorry to bother you again but you seem to know alot about the geddon, So I have some questions about it.
Can I unscrew the tank part from the reg or is it just like the flatline tank?
Will I have to buy a better In-line reg or is the double reg on the tank good enough?
I already have a 2k stock cocker in-line reg. Is that good enough? Or should I get a vigilante for LP?
Also do you think the $379 is the cheapest I could get it for online?(if not can anyone supply me with the url of the cheaper store)
Thanks alot
All who have replied have been a big help

You see that black ribbed thing that comes on a geddon? That's what it screws into. One cool thing is that you can fill your geddon and take it out with the air still inside and not worry about it. So YES, they do screw out. I wouldn't look into a geddon, they don't have a release valve, so when the pressure builds and keeps building, it can eventually blow the burst disks. Look into CROSSFIRE systems, they're VERY consistent. If you don't believe me go to:
http://www.paintballchannel.com and check out the Crossfire video located on the left side.
(Note: The tanks on the video are the new 4500 Crossfire tanks which haven't been released yet. Both 3k and 4500 psi tanks use the same technology)

I would like someone elses opinion too. I mean, you just said that I should get a crossfire over a geddon. Some other people have any comments? I'm not dissing you man, I just want a few more opinions.

Is there anyway of getting a geddon reg without the tank and attaching a cheaper tank to it like a PE?

No prob, I'm here to help :) Tank comes off from the reg easy as pie, no problems at all. If you want the best in consistency, you will need an inline reg with any adjustable tank. You'll get +-8 fps or so if you dont double reg, so you gotta ask if shooting 264-280 is okay with you. If so, then you'll be fine. If not, a vigi for 50 bucks is a good investment. Even regs that are supposedly single reggable (no need for an inline) wont get tooo much better than this. The stock 2k inline reg should be good. I dont know much about this reg, but if you've been doing well with it until now, you should continue to do wel (even better actually) with a geddon. Just set your geddon for 150-200 psi higher going into your inline, than the output of your inline. This'll give you pretty good consistency without shootdown. Vigi would be better than the stock cocker reg, but like I said, if you're happy with it now, it's not a pressing issue. 379 also sounds like the best I've seen. I'm pretty sure you can get the reg without a tank, but dont quote me on that. And all tanks have burst disks/reliefe valves or other, else it would fail safety tests right out and not be manufactured. AA also backs up their stuff very well with a lifetime warranty. Good for if your tank doesnt pass the hydro test for some reason other than your own negligence

WHY!? It's over expensive and the Crossfire systems are MUUUUUCH better! Did you go to http://www.paintballchannel.com and check out the vid?? Do it, you'll see how well they perform, almost ZERO dropoff. If you get a geddon, you'll need a special cradle or dropforward for it, the crossfire just screws in. Go with Cross, you'll save alot of money and get better performance.
elTwitcho
05-18-2001, 09:53 AM
Better performance, not really. That tank had an output of 650. Let's use me as an example. My inline reg is set at 200 psi. Ideally, I want my tank output at 400 psi for the best in consistency. That tank wasnt an adjustable, and 650 psi just aint gonna do it.
