It was a great tournament and my first big one. I live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area... basically, Toronto isn't just Toronto anymore) and decided last week to sell my 'cocker and buy an electro. I went to a local field (one that sponsors my team actually) and told the guy working to sell me on the Impulses they had there. He didn't even try to convince me so I walked out of the shop still wanting some electro...
Then the tourney came along. I went to a couple of other booths of local shops (who all know me through the club that I help run based here in Toronto) and tried to get them to sell me on something. Afterwards I had narrowed it down to the expensive Angel and the Matrix (which everyone around here has).
Then it happened...
A buddy of mine that runs his own online shop told me to go check out the AKA booth. I did so and... well... was blown away. Firstly, at most booths I had a hard time getting anyone to answer any questions for me but here I had like 3 guys answering every question I had (from what I've been told it was Team Wiseguys... and Rizzo? and Joker13? were a couple of them??). These guys were awesome! Then I picked up the marker and dry-fired it. <drool> The trigger was beautiful and it felt like a dream.
Now my decision was made.
I could have spent the $1200 (CAN) on a matrix but then spent about another $300 or $400 having to upgrade it. This Viking is going to cost me LESS than the matrix, runs like a dream, is super efficient, runs like a dream, is EXTREMELY unique and runs like a dream!
Basically, thanks guys! You made my mind up for me and definetely represented AKA in a very good light. I can't say enough good things about you. (Now I just wish they'd manufacture those blade triggers already... they won't let me order one up here yet).
Sincerely,
