I just got an impulse a few months ago and started upgrading it, so far it has:

-max flo reg
-new designz equalizer stubby bolt
-new designz high flow valve
-new designz impulse HE ram housing assembly w/ slikshot
-new designz lpr/ans combo
and some other cosmetic upgrades.

Problem is I'm not sure how to get the velocity down, it shoots about 340-360fps. I looked in the faqs and followed the directions on how to adjust it but it didnt work. I adjusted the lpr, dwell, and input pressure but it still was way too high. The only way i got it to shoot ~290fps was to turn the input pressure on the max flo to about 100psi but that was way too low and the paintballs would start to roll out after about 5 or 6 shots unless I waited a couple seconds between each shot. Any help is appreciated.

100 psi doesn't sound too absurd. If you're having huge shootdown problems during walking, relube your reg. What tank are you using too? You might have a faulty reg on the tank if it can't recharge fast enough.

start with turning the lpr completly off
adjust the maxy to an input of 160 psi and then fine tune the velocity to get it near the 290 with the dwell, afterwards use the lpr to get the connststancy of the velocity

Thats the problem I read "Set the LPR at its maximum output pressure setting" off of a site on the faqs. I started out with the lpr turned all the way in thats the problem. Also cleaned/relubed the reg. I aired it up and lowered pressure on the lpr and now no more shootdown. Thanks guys.

Gotta wait till this weekend to see if theres any more problems with velocity when I have access to a chrono. Im using co2 with remote at the moment.
