Lol, 1/3rd of all threads for the biggest state in the country is closed, and with no reason. Off topic? We were discussing the benefits of living in Alaska vs Texas :P

Wasn't myself who closed the thread, but I think that you have mentioned the reason yourself - the person who closed the thread would almost certainly have considered it to be off topic, not to mention that the topic itself could lead to arguments.
With this forum being dedicated to Alaska, any discussion relating to Texas (or any other state for that matter) is by definition off topic - pretty much like discussing the merits of Spyder's in the Eclipse forum.
The person who closed the thread might have more to say on the matter, but that would be my reading of the situation.

I'm asking politely to keep threads in the Alaska forum to Alaska paintball. If you know of a game or tournament or even particapted and have pictures from a tournament or regular play(In Alaska) feel free to post them. Just remember to adhere to PBR posting rules. Topics about living in Alaska will be dealt with on a case by case basis. ANY "Alaska VS any other State, Country, or City" threads will NOT be tolerated.
Thank you.

Edited so I dont get banned :)Hey, I pretty easy going. I like to try and send PMs to folks before I just give out infractions or worse. But as we all know, somethings are inexcuseable. Just play within the rules and we'll be fine.

And I do believe that I asked you polite in a PM sometime ago to edit your Sig; the "Highlight part". Now I'm telling you to edit it...

you take life WAY to seriously.
this is the internet, and this forum has about 3 posts a month.
Christ almighty, chill man. you realized you were the only person to complain in 8 pages of the first thread? You're a great guy, but you need to relax, angry is no way to go through life.
On a sidenote pbr, why is someone who admits he's never on pbr a moderater? You dont see the problem with just appointing random people to those positions, instead of those more qualified? This is not the good ole boys organization, this is a forum for the growth and spread of paintball related knowledge

I'll answer each of these 1 by one.
you take life WAY to seriously. That my to take things seriously. Being 'nice' and relaxed is not amongst my demeanor.
this is the internet, and this forum has about 3 posts a month. The forum has spirts of activity, wether it's a post every 3 months or 30 a day, I'm still the Moderator.
Christ almighty, chill man. you realized you were the only person to complain in 8 pages of the first thread? You're a great guy, but you need to relax, angry is no way to go through life. And your point is what exactly?
On a sidenote pbr, why is someone who admits he's never on pbr a moderater? You dont see the problem with just appointing random people to those positions, instead of those more qualified? This is not the good ole boys organization, this is a forum for the growth and spread of paintball related knowledgeWhile I may not be on PBR as often as some would feel a Moderator should be, there is a pretty good reason for that. A Moderator doesn't have to answer every paintball related question nor know everything there is to know about paintball. A Moderator has to make sure that the posts made within PBR are within the rules and in genreal contributing to the growth of the forum and paintball. Does that mean I should be on here 24 hours a day/ 7 days aweek? No it does not. I do have a life outside of PBR. I do have a JOB outside of PBR. And sometimes that JOB takes me away for long periods at a time. And by no means this is the 'good ole boy' system. I started out as a member just like you, was asked to be an AGENT, I was amongest the ORIGINAL AGENTS, and several YEARS later, I was asked if I would like to be a Moderator. It has nothing to do with how long I've been here or who I know. What matters is what I say whenI do post. 90% of the time I'm either trying to bring a thread back on topic, stop a flame fest, or honestly trying to help someone. My job as a Moderator is to "observe more and post less" so to speak. And I'll have you know I've 'calmed down' over the years.

Since this thread has very little to do with paintball or paintballing in Alaska. Closed.
