Over the past seven years Pbreview.com has grown into one of the top paintball destinations online. I've thoroughly enjoyed running pbreview.com and seeing the growth of not only the website but of the sport of paintball as well. However, in recent months I decided it was time to focus on other areas of my life.

My only concern was finding the right buyer. With time I was able to find Demand Media, a company I knew would have interest in maintaining the integrity and objectivity of the website. The website will continue to be the pbreview.com you're accustomed to. Your friendly Admin, Lopez, will be sticking around to manage the forums.

I sincerely apologize for the downtime and problems over the past few days. This is not how I wanted to hand off Pbreview.com. We are working on fixing all the problems and things will be back to normal again soon.

And to back up some of what Andrew posted, I've been talking with the Demand Media folks over the past week or so. They're really great folks and have the capability to bring some really new and exciting content to the site. The upside from my perspective is that these guys aren't looking to make wild changes or add things that don't provide value added. They're really looking to add things slowly but consistently to ensure the same continued quality that you guys know.

Apologies for some of the server issues, but unfortunately you do have to break a few eggs to make an omelet...and some problems are taking longer to resolve.

On a personal note, I want to wish Andrew well in his future endeavors. He's done so much for us (the member base), for paintball and for this site over the last few years. I've gotten to know him a little bit better than most over the past few months and I can say that I'll miss having you around. I'm just glad that Adam and the new folks are of the same calibur.

Thank you for the welcomes. As for whether or not I play PB, the answer is no. I have once in my life, had a fantastic time, but just never had to opportunity to get involved. I'm sorry if that's a disappointment, but the good news is I'm not planning on taking anything away from the current moderation group of folks.

As mentioned before, I welcome any comments about the site itself, features you all would like to see added, etc. I obviously can't promise to get everything done right away, but I will definitely do my best to keep everyone excited about the site.

I actually read some of the history the other day on wikipedia ... it's certainly very interesting. One thing I do know well, is running sites. I'm also surrounded by a ton of people that like to run great sites, regardless of the content.

As far as the reviews section, yes, I'm currently handling that with some of Andrew's help in the interim. I hope to make that something the forum admins/moderators group of folks can handle in the future as well. Make sure it continues to be done by folks that know what they are talking about.

You can't apply for positions, you get selected to be an agent and then those who do what they're supposed to get bumped up to moderator and then super moderator and then eventually legend

That forum is more for posting problems encountered while being on the site, and comments on other stuff. Its not a "suggestion forum" suggestions aren't really common there, thats why I think that there should be a seperate forum for suggestions.

Also, I need to get with Andrew on how to get more of them made. He only gave us a small stack, maybe 100 stickers total. I'll check on that next week sometime. Thanks!

That would be dumb because members would just be posting stupid posts and un-truthfull reviews on PBR just to get stickers and sell them to the members who aren't eligible. Its pretty much garunteed.
