barrel kits?

are barrel kits necessary for a rec player? i've never encountered paintballs others than the .689 variety....if i do need a kit, what would you guys recommend?

they arent necessary, but you can get them if you want one. j&j edge kit, or redz kit if you have those threads.

I find a kit very convenient. You never know when your paint will shrink or swell, according to the weather. It'd be your call, though.

For $50, you can get an Evil Pipe kit on www.firstcallpaintball.com (http://www.firstcallpaintball.com). And that's a damn good deal.

Or you can spend a little more on the J&J Edge Elite kit, which'll run around $100. Both are good, though.

kits r great but r not neccessary; one-piece barrels perform fine, tho, ill take a kit anyday.
