Under the mini gun vid. The general consensus over on IOG is that since Virtue and Smart Parts have teamed up, Damon just can't compete since sp can charge him out of the water for ion solenoids. Yet another great company falters under the monopolizing wrath of Smart Parts....

That sucks, I guess now it would be a good idea to get rid of, never use, or be ultra careful with your Ion T-boards, Ion owners.

i feel that their boards didn't offer anything great.

T-boards offer several firing modes and options for a cheap price when compared to other boards which is it's strong point. It's a shame he's discontinuing them but with the marketing of the Black Heart and Virtue the newer players often get swept up by that kind of thing and unknowingly pass up considering several other lesser known products.

The Scenario Dreams boards are good for the price, but I have to agree that there are better boards out there if you are willing to pay for them.

I don't know if their single solenoid platforms are any better, but I've used the E-Blade board, and modes didn't work exactly as described, the NXL activation sequence was absurdly critical (I had to stop shooting, then tap the trigger very deliberately three times, then hold the trigger on the fourth shot - if I tapped the trigger four times then held, it wouldn't work, despite the fact that four pulls and hold *contains* the three pull and hold activation sequence; that's why I had to pause before the threee trigger taps in order to ensure that the board didn't register any previous trigger pulls as part of the activation sequence) and in some modes (bursts for instance), trigger pulls had a tendency to be ignored if the previous shot sequence hadn't entirely finished yet.

I applaud Scenario Dreams for their pricing, and for tackling the E-Blade platform with a drop in board (very few companies have even considered E-Blade boards), but I can't say that my own personal experience was an entirely satisfactory one.

Still, it was a nice upgrade for those who didn't have a lot of money to drop in to their Ion, and certainly had a place in the upgrade market, so it's a shame that they are having to pull them out of production. Whatever faults they may have had, they were still extremely popular.

I wanna see the universal board in the works. i guess that will replace the ion tboard.

Nah Damon said he had a ton of spare and replacement parts to continue servicing the boards for a long time.

Yes, but it's only a matter of time before he runs out.

Eh the t-board was great for the price but that's it imo. And like Tabris said new players almost always fall for getting the virtue board. Personally i don't care at all that it's gone since i'm holding out for the predator board to come out.

I'm no great Ion expert - I know that you can't use an Ion board in an Epiphany, the pressure rating is too low, but can you use an Epiphany board in an Ion? If so, Pred did a batch of Epiphany boards (one of their sponsored teams is using the Epiphany). It's just not practical to get a board manufacturer to make less than 100 boards at a time, so they got 100 made, and the rest are being sold to the public.

If you can make use of an Epiphany board, get 'em while you can, because it's probably a one off order. No idea when they may finally release the Ion boards.

You know i wouldn't see why not. I mean the only difference to my understanding is that the epi noid can take higher pressure then the ions. I might have to look into those epi boards but i don't think i could afford to get one right now. I need to rack up a little more money in my checking account before a make a big buy like that.
