Hello,

I just installed a palmers stab in my C98. Its running on a 20oz C02 tank. I'm wondering a few things.

Will the mini gauge I bought to put on the stabilizer be accurate when reading C02 pressure?

Second, what is the optimal pressure I should set the stab to so I get the best velocity while being C02 efficient.

I'm assuming its between 700-900?

I'm also going to replace all the o-rings in my gun pretty soon here, I think the one on the outside of the valve in the powertube is leaking a bit.

Also I'm getting the stainless steel screw kit so I can get rid of he rusty ones.

I'm thinking about buying a Shocktech delrin Superfly bolt.

Would it work ok on the plastic RT powertube?

Or is it only good on the aftermarket metal ones?

My setup so far is:

C98
RT Trigger
Vert Adapter w/ Palmers Stab
Macroline
Lapco 8" Bigshot
Dye Sticky Grip
20oz C02 w/ SP on/off
Evo II

I'm just trying to make a super tight woodsball/general/backup marker.

not to be a pain in the ***.......... but try searching before you post a question.

http://www.pbreview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417704 was only 1/2 way down the page. the second post will answer your question.

I am pretty sure that to get the lowest pressure, you maximize the stock velocity adjuster screw to get a lot of fps, then turn the reg pressure down until you are at the fps limit.

i guess i wasted a post putting up a link to a thread with the answer:dodgy:

The RT lives off of back pressure. If you havent noticed yet the RT will work better (the "sweet spot" gets much larger, you can shoot at faster BPS rates, etc...) with the FVA screwed IN (decreasing velocity in the process however). Well because you have a Palmers Stabilizer you can (and SHOULD) stick to adjusting the velocity via the stabilizer by it self.

Now try this. Screw your FVA almost all the way in. Id say ~ 3/4 of the way in. Then use the PPS Stabilizer to up the velocity to 300FPS or whatever setting you want/need.

THEN try firing the RT. I promise you that you will be able to hit the "sweet spot" like no other as well as being able to tune the RT to shoot MUCH faster then before.

Dont be concerned with what PSI your marker is running at, pay attention to how the marker is PERFORMING.
