i know this has been done many times but i have a couple of questions
1. what is the cheapest way and you have alot of time??
ive heard steel wool works really good
2. this may sound stuped but does polishing internals wear down the life of the internal walls of the gun???
becuase why else would they have put that coating on the inside???

1. Steel wool and mother's mag polish works well
2.The coating on the inside is just a mistake made when the guns are painted so it will not wear the internal walls.

do you need to polishe it?
or can you just clean it with water

U gotta fvckin scrub to get that overspray off - u don't HAVE to polish ur internals - it just helps with the life of ur orings - and no it doesn't wear down on the internals on ur gun... Polishing will give a smother traveling surface for ur bolt and hammer - scrubbing it would be alright on its own - but I Would just suggest polishing it all together - its no that hard at all

i am confused why the custom pro is the only tippmann that comes with polished internals stockIt shouldn't... maybe you think they are polished cause they are shiny, but if you really polish them then you will realize the difference...

Yeah I highly doubt they come polished stock, rub the receivers down with some steel wool and you'll start seein a difference.

I popped mine open and compared it to a friend of mine's who'd polished it, and there was a bit of a difference. It wasn't drastic, but there was a difference. The thing is, though: with incredibly smooth surfaces, you really rely on the lubricant (marker oil in this case) to provide a low coefficient of friction. If the lubricant isn't there, a slick surface will actually provide a greater resistance of friction due to greater surface area contact. Think of a drag racing slick. The smooth surface of the rubber provides a greater contact area with the road which in turn allows the car to transfer more power. Take that same car and put it on a wet road and you'll have trouble getting it to grip at all. It's the same way with your polished internals. Once you get that surface super smooth and shiny, oiling the marker is even more critical than it was before.

I used a fine grit sand paper, then peek brand polish. Worked out very nicely.
And for as easy as it is to oil your marker, that shouldn't be an issue.

sure-fire way to do it and NOT screw anything up (e.g. taking off too much material, etc.) is to use a lot of elbow grease and Brillo Pads (try to get the ones without the soap already in it). It will take off all of the overspray and will leave a smooth to the touch satin finish. Of course it will also take you about an hour of hard scrubbing per side.

I don't think they polish the internals, I think they just tape them off before they paint them. It's like they're sprayed rather than dipped.

o, i see
thats weird tho, why would they only tape over/polish the internals of just the pro e's? they should just do that to all their gun shells
