Way to ignore the stickies! Most of this is covered in the stickies already, but here goes:
1. Here's a bunch of pictures (in the FAQ sticky) of the Mini compared to a lot of other markers:

2. Basic Maintenance (from the FAQ sticky again) in video format:

More videos can be found in the sticky here:

3. Most of the common problems have already been fixed. The very very early Minis had a shorting problem with the boards that drained the battery in a few minutes. Later there was a poppet problem that caused massive blowback. Both of these have been fixed. It's possible you might end up with one that still has a bad poppet depending on where you buy your Mini, but it's highly unlikely and it will be fixed for free by Invert as these problems are all covered by their 1 year warranty. My friends and I have all bought 4 Minis now and all of them have worked fine out of the box and most of them were even chrono'ed to the right speed out of the box. After that, so long as you follow your basic maintenance, you shouldn't have any problems.

4. Upgrades have been talked about a lot here:

There's also talk of a T-board being released soon. Bear in mind that the Mini is not an Ion or a PMR. The Mini comes out of the box all-aluminum with eveything and really doesn't need to be upgraded. It comes with an aluminum body, aluminum trigger frame, the board already has ramping, it has a good reg, a clamping feedneck, a nice adjustable trigger, a good bolt, and is capable of shooting 20bps with decent efficiency and a low 200psi pressure.

Consider the Mini to be more equivalent to a Porsche - you can upgrade things on it if you want, but it is wicked fast and nice already without the Porsche price. It's not a Honda Civic. If you want to be able to upgrade like an Ion, go buy an Ion.
