When lubing the Fusion LPR/HPR, is it okay to lube the shims on the piston stack or should I just lube the o-rings?

Just wanted to make sure before I put everything back together after getting some parts from DP.

Lubing the shims shouldn't do anything, but its not necessary unless they are bone dry.

What type of lube is recommend for the hpr and lpr? I don't have this marker but my friend has had his since x-mas and finally decided to use it this weekend for the first time so I'm going to lube the marker up first and inspect the o-rings for him. I just wanted to know what type of lube/ oil i should use for the marker???

According to the manual, DOW 55 is recommended, although you can use DOW 33 as well.

DO NOT use oil in ANY part of the Fusion as it could lead to damage.

I don't have any dow 33 or 55. Can I use vaseline to lube the regs instead?

I wouldn't recommend it..its better to go out and buy some dow 33/55 than it is to use something else.

Vaseline is oil-based, you need something water based. It doesn't matter if it says "oil" on there, water-based paintball lubes will work.

Lubing the shim stack isn't a bad idea, but no need to go crazy with it. The shims may come in to contact with the piston neck or the cylinder wall, so a little grease helps to limit wear and tear, and keeps things moving smoothly, even if there is some contact made.
