12" or 14", is there really a difference, what is a safer bet. I have a JT excellerator 4.0 and play in the woods almost exclusively. I was thinking along the lines of either a dye excel or a smartparts spyder barrel.

Basically, the different lengths dont do anything special, the only thing that is different is how heavy they are and how much more they get in the way. I personally like smaller barrels since they have the same ammount of accuracy as the longer ones

if you only play woods I would get either a 14 or 16 because it is easier to shove threw cracks and all that stuff. so to answer your question 14.
