I emailed DP today asking about compatibility between the fusion and soon to be released F8. Here is what was said:


Yes, everything will be compatible from F8 to Fusion. The board will not be interchangeable with the Fusion. However, you can announce to everyone that DP is coming out with a new board for Fusions and F8s alike, that promises to deliver the highest level of performance at our trademark low price! Yep, you heard it first!

So we have new tournament level boards coming from DP for both markers and we now know that almost everything on both of them will interchange. Thats good news for all!

I guess that goes along with my point that the F8 won't be a huge jump in performance.

Yup..but the new board ought to be good...I hope they have an exchange program for it like they did for the V1 to V2 boards.

Not sure about the F8 board, but the Threshold has 8 modes and dwell setting adjustments. The F8 board shouldn't be too bad, but all I use is semi anyways, so other modes don't matter in my mind.

Thats good news I guess. The board price will probably be mroe than a quater of the price for a new fusion so I don't think its really worth it just to buy the Fusion 7 updated board.

I don't care about other modes either, but it would be nice to have a dwell setting on the Fusion (If the F8 boards will have a dwell setting) to give even better efficiency in the long run.
