well, i shot the threshold at work today. i kno everyone in the DP forums would have an orgasm if i wrote a little about it, so here is my first impressions. as far as i kno, the threshold i shot was all stock. i was only able to shoot 2 quick ropes, so dont think i have lots of experience with them.
balance was good. the one i shot had a 68/45 and a halo B on it, and balance was good with them.
it was lite. idk how much it weighs, but it was pretty lite.
it was small, and had a low profile. if a sft shocker was a little bit shorter, i would compare a threshold to it, in terms of size.
the stock trigger was very good. it was very smooth and i had no problem ripping out ropes.
looks was great. milling and the annode were good. it comes with sum weird colors, like alien green, metallic earth, deep earth, deep ocean etc. it sounds retarded on paper, but i have to admit, they look good in person.
the one thing that stood out when i shot it was how smooth it was. it shot smoother than my G7 FLY angel, and my friends NXT shocker. its no DM, but it shot very smoothly. (im not saying that thresholds r better than G7 FLYs and NXTs)
price confirmed at $550. nice price for wat u r getting imo.
all in all, i thought it was a very fine marker. if i were to get a spoolie as my next marker, i would consider picking one up.
