bolt problem?

ok my buddy bought a mini last wee and has played around with it for a week. the toher day when he screwed in the tank it made this awful loud pop and the bolt poped forward and air continued to fly through the gun. he always wants me to work on his stuff b/c i can fix all his other stuff but i don't know what is wrong with this. could he have burnt out the o-rings around the bolt b/c he hasn't lubed the bolt at all. even though its only been a week?

somebody let me know what it could be so i can fix this for him.

It sounds like the poppet is stuck open.
A thorough, recommended lubing of the bolt...bolt guide...and poppet wouldnt hurt one bit while youre at it.

After youve put everything back together, be sure to screw in the velocity adjuster completely.
Just do not force it down.
This will seat the poppet.
Now, screw in the tank and air up the gun.

At this point, the gun should not be leaking.
Go ahead and unscrew the velocity adjuster 1 to 2 turns out...and youll be ready to roll!
