what is the height of the bushmaster excluding the grip frame? From the pictures, i'd guess it's about 4" high (around 1" more than the height of an autococker).

How do you aim? Is it uncomfortable or even possible to aim looking over the sight rail or mounting a dot sight on top?

thanks in advance.

its 5.5 inches from the bottom of the battery tray to the top of the high rise
or 3 inches from bottom of battery tray to top of main body. not actually that tall.

most aim w/ the bushy as they do w/ any other paintball marker, that is down the side of the body and down the barrel.

it's possible to mount a dot sight on the site rail.
most paintball sites being used these days just create a little dot, and your eyes project it onto your target.

yup, i never had a problem with the bushys "height" (i use quotes, cause its not really that tall, its not unmanagable or anything) i just sight down the side of the barrel like simon said . . . i just look at where the barrel is pointed and where my shots are going, i can usually tell by where i aim where the shots are going to go . . .

My barrel sits right infront of my eyes.

I do this also, if i have the room to do it. It is probably the most accurate way to aim. But it also means half your mask is hanging out of your bunker. If there is little chance of being hit, then you should do this.

But if you want to create lowest profile ever, then use 1 eye (the eye on the outside) to look down the body/barrel to your target. You can adjust aim from where the balls go.

You'll get used to it, and you will begin to love the bushy. Remember, most people think bushys are the most fun gun to shoot!

...And it is :)

I must be a freak,

I tend to aim off the bottem of the barreltip, but I do hold my bushy close and high, its just what feals better for me. Alows me to keep my elbow in, and still not have the tank in the way (despite a 8" drop forward)

but yea, the bushy aint all that high, just takes a little getting use to if your normaly shooting a spyder or something small like that.

most people think they're tall, but they're just skinny and short.
i tend to shoot by having my bushy close to the bunker and just enough for my eye to see my target and so i can tip my hopper in.
if you can do this properly, you will have an extremely small profile.

thanks,

the top lines up flush w/ the width of a quarter.
the bottom is probably a wee-bit wider, the ram assembly sticks out the back and lpr out the front so i couldn't real check
