ummmm, so u say when u just turn the gun on With no air, u hear a click with every trigger pull? if so thats no reason to be concerned your gun is fine.

You NEED air to shoot the gun...

is the bolt forward or back when the gun is not aired up?

If your bolt is back when its not aired, you probably have your bolt pin put in wrong, as it should naturally want to go forward. That would cause the eyes to not detect anything, and click 1 time.

ok (with the eyes on)
the bolt is forward, i pull the trigger, no click form the solenoid, same results when i pull the bolt back (manually of course cuz there is no air)

(eyes off)
bolt forward, pull the trigger the solenoid clicks, it al so clicks when the bolt is back

yep, you may indeed have a broken eye wire.

first though, remove the eye covers, clean off the eyes and make sure they are seated properly, and then try again. They could be dirty. While you have the eye covers removed, check the wires for any noticeable breaks, which would most likely be right at the joint where the wires connect to the eyes themselves.

Also, try shooting paint through the gun when the eyes are turned on, just to make extra sure that it is the eyes themselves that is the problem and not anything else.

if you find a break, you don't need to buy a new harness. You can just resolder it to fix it. If you don't know how to solder, and don't know anyone else who can, take it to a paintball shop and have them do it.

they guy i got it from had pinched the eye wires, like in between the trigger frame and the top part of the gun and the wires are really thin in that spot and the rest of the wires are round

and i did clean them but still nothing
and the wires are connected on the eyes themselvs

Try re-wiring that spot.

it sounds like it can be this very thing..
with the promaster hold the trigger down before turning the marker on..then wait till the led light blinks, and blinks..then blinks again(about 10 seconds) now the eyes are off..try dry firing now..and see if this works..
