for whatever reason my mini was chopping paint badly...i have an EVO III...i would clean the marker and hopper out...go out and it would chop all over again at the most inconvenient of times...

so i took it all apart and noticed those two bolts under the feedneck...unscrewed them and noticed that they both had round white things attatched to a spring...but the problem is this..

one of the white plastic things was stuck inside the black bolt while other was dangling from a spring...i assumed that they were supposed to be dangling and so i popped the stuck one out and screwed them back into the marker...

are they supposed to be sticking out on a spring or compressed inside the bolt? and what is the purpose and name of those things?

I know what things you are talking about and they are ball detents.. yours might be broken but if its chopping check your Dwell settings. It shows you what to do in the manual

Most likely your problem is the detents. They should be sticking out into the breech when the bolt is back like it normally is. If they are stuck and not sticking out, that is your problem.

your mini should have come with extras, replace them and see what happens.

its not the ball detents...there is something else causing my mini to chop paint....i have no clue...i took it apart cleaned it, lubed it, and checked all the settings on the board....it still chops...i think i have a first generation mini seeing that the number on the back is only 7000 something while everyone else that has one and works fine is above 13000???

i've heard the serial number isn't very reliable in telling which version you have. Instead, look on the board inside the foregrip - there should be some white text followed by a number that says "1.1" or "1.2"

it says 1.2....my mini seems to be working fine once i found out that i was missing that thick o-ring on the end of the bolt...thankfully invert provided us with that kit full of extra goodies:)
