I have narrowed my search for a barrel kit. I would like to get the J&J ceramic edge kit. I have a Mini. I know it is cocker threaded and am told through other forums that they fit. But before I buy I would like to know what some of ya'll think. I have already went to the review board but would like a bit more input. Thanks

Edge is perfect imo. Assuming sense you have the Mini, that you play Speedball, the 16 inch or even 14 would be perfect for leaning the bunkers. As well as, when a break does accur, the barrel will shoot clean in about 3-5 shots, and will shoot exactly the same.

I actually shot the barrel plug out of my Vs2 once, and there was paint and shell all over the inside of my barrel. After two shots, i cleared the barrel, and continued to empty my hopper at 17bps at the stop of a tree. None Missed. Good barrell, though keep the orings oiled, if you dont, it will lock up, and trying to put the back off and on makes the worst sound in the world...

Sorry im kind of rambling its near 9am and i havnt had sleep yet.. But yeah, i think you maked a good choice. Cheap & reliable, just like every hooker should be.:D

If you buy the edge kit (which I love) buy the full elite kit. I found it (5 backs and 3 fronts) for $100. The other kits weren't that much cheaper, I think it was 4 backs and 2 fronts for $90 and 3 backs and 1 front for $75. I know I first thought that it didn't make sense to buy the full kit, because it was $25 I was looking not to spend, and I wasn't sure how often I would need the two backs, and I definitely didn't think I would ever have a need for extra fronts. But if you look at the price to buy the additional backs afterwards, they are $40 each. So spend the extra $25 and get the elite kit.

I've was also happy to have the additional fronts, because the 12" barrel was too long for my US-5, but too short for my Hammer. With the additional fronts, I was able to put together barrels with a length that worked for me.

Edit: also worth noting that when shooting Marbs I needed the smallest back. And since my local field uses Marbs only for scenario events, I was glad I bought all 5 backs.

I got the elite for 83 actually including shipping... If you look on ebay you can find great deals... 100 is more or less right now the base price, but you can find it for atleast around 80 if you look hard enough.
