And I have trouble putting it back together.

I'm following this guide here
http://techtpaintball.com/vortexinstall.html

I am at the part where you are putting the assembled axel/rachet back into the housing.
I'm at step 6 or 7:15 on the video.

My problem is the big long spring seems to pull metal rachet out of the axel.
I've tried this with a really long spring and a really short spring (the one inside the axel) and it still does this problem.

If I take my hand out from the rachet the whole thing just pops out of the cyclone house due to the big long spring being compressed so that it fits just outside the house. (the spring that leaves the house). In the video he can remove his hand from it and it stays put.

Sorry if I didn't explain well I'm not sure what all these parts are called but if you don't understand I can try to upload pictures.
What am I doing wrong?

Okay, after looking at the video, I think you're having trouble with the piston tube. There is a slot that the piston tube slides into so that it seat all the way in. That slot can be annoying to find, so I recommend trying to find it without putting the spring and rod inside it first. Notice on the video at 7:19-7:20, the tube gets seated in all the way.

Once you know how it slides in the slot, you can put it all together. The trick here is to make sure that the spring collar (the black piece of plastic at the end of the spring) is pushed INSIDE the piston tube while you're seating the tube. If it's not inside the tube, it will cause problems with seating the tube. You can see him doing this with his thumb at 7:17 in the video.

Ahh! you were right on!

That did the trick, everything fitted together and I manually pushed the tube thing and the cyclone started spinning!!

So right now everything is done and looks awesome!

I just hope I didn't put too much / not too much lube. It didn't bubble like the picture but the video didn't have any bubbles also

Thanks again!!!

No problem. You can under-lube it, but you really can't put too much on there. It gets more messy with more grease, but it's not gonna hurt anything.

Insert (HA!) dirty joke here...
