I have a tippmann 98 custom. Is the BT Apex barrel better? or is a flatline better

To be honest, I'd take the Apex. With the ability to be turned on and off, adjusted to what type of spin, and it's compatibility with some aftermarket barrels, I'd get it just because.

But if not, I'd recommend a J&J Edge Elite kit, which are about the same price (~$100), unless you don't mind going used.

You can only bump/up F/S/T threads, bro, for future reference.

apex definatly. Not paint picky, the internal finish of the barrel doesnt wear out like the flatline, no installing to the gun, easy to clean, better accuracy than the flatline and ability to turn all effects on or off. And as stated it can be used on other barrels.

Flatlines are nice but nowadays the Apex barrel is a better deal for what you get. And it is lower cost

Yeah, Apex. I have seen them go for 35 - 45 dollars shipped off ebay at times.

One thing, I saw someone said something about the flatline wearing out.
Never seen that. I have seen gelatin buildup that needs a good boiling to clean out, but never actual wear on the bead blasted interior.

On the other hand the Apex tip dos wear out. It shreds and becomes less usable after a bit of use.

I had a few do that and when I called up (call them don't write an email) and asked about buying replacements they offered to ship me two free of charge.
That is decent customer service.

The flatline wears out after every 20,000 or 100,000 (big difference lol) one of those two #'s and you just sent it into Tippmann to get resandblasted. And it is good as new I believe
