I posted this on the dp owners group, but that place is empty so i'll repost it here.
the other day I was tinkering with my v2 fusion, and I made an interesting find. I tried dry firing it without the return spring, and it still managed to recock every time. Even firing it as fast as i could on semi, it still seemed to fully recock everytime. Unfortunately I was out of paint, so I couldn't test to see if it maintain's it's consistency without the spring (I doubt it does, the hammer tend's to bounce forward a bit when it recock's). So I basically came to the conclusion that the stock spring has way more tension than what's necessary. I replaced it with a much lighter spring so I can run it at a lower pressure. I was just wondering if anyone has had any sucess with this, or if there is any reason why I shouldn't do it? I'm sure i'm not the only one who has tried this mod.
